Don't forget about filibustering.  The bussed in SEIU folks at the last meeting I attended loved that one.  They would get the floor for a question, and launch into a speech about how baa-aaad the Republicans were without ever getting near a question for the elected official to answer.

Hey, Rich ... don'cha know ... when you bus in union members from outside the area, and give them an agenda, and how to act to cut off debate ... that's called "community organizing" and "democracy in action".

When local constituents ask to be heard, and are refused, and raise their voices in frustration ... why, that's "mob rule" and "astroturfing".

Haven't you got it into your head yet?

Geez, the damn peons ... uh, I mean uh ... citizens ... are so friggin' stupid not to understand this ....

I've documented in the "Fake Astroturf" thread the fact that the townhalls that end up with the type of activity you are discussing are ones in which the representatives aren't interested in answering the questions that there citizens are asking.

Funny, I was on that thread and don't remember you documenting any such thing.

I remembering you focusing solely on the Missouri event, and the way things were done there was an understandable reaction to the earlier disturbances and confrontations caused by protesters at other town hall meetings.

What you did offer were generic videos of the event with your own interpretation of what happened, which seemed to be at odds with the media's version, and most witnesses not associated with the protesters.

But of course, that was the evil liberal media and you set everyone straight with the highly respected and credible conservative source, Pajamas Media.

What I do remember being documented credibly on the other thread were protesters who were coached through e-mails and websites to intentionally disrupt these meetings.

So refresh my memory, what was your documentation again?

Who refused?

In every video and article I've seen the protesters started their confrontational tactics right from the start.

Including in the videos you posted of the Carnahan event, where protesters were shouting about Acorn, which I guess in some convoluted conservative logic must have something to do with health care reform, though I can't for the life of me figure what that connection might be.

I'm not going to post it all again, rule, just for your edification.

Start at my post where I talk about the Democratic Rep in Colorado, who was "ambushed" on a corner "speak to your congressman" event, and look at how he handled it.

Look at the events where they get rowdy, and you'll see that the events themselves are staged so that the upset citizens' voices can't be heard (in the metaphysical sense).

Not every meeting had grandmothers and kids on heads... gesh! and in this economy... you bet a little old lady with guts could be paid to do just that. Think a dad who has been laid off cant be persuaded to do the same?
