Status: offline 		No experiences good or bad and no I would never join.

I have very fair skin and am doing my level best to keep it wrinkle and cancer free. I don't need to be any other colour than the one I was given.

edited to add.......I didn't vote because there was no option that fit me.

Status: offline 		I am not interested in making myself look older, and cancer is something I would like to avoid if possible, so no tanning for me.

Status: offline 		I have fair skin. Have I used the fake and bake salons? Yes. Probably too much in the past. I also use to lay out in the sun, go camping, water skiing... anything that led me outdoors.

I've had SKIN CANCER four times, one was basal cell and three were squamous cell.

You've got fair skin Potty, you need to decide if you wish to take the risk.

I have very fair skin and go to a tanning bed to prevent burning in the sun. Also...the effect it has on my mood is amazing.

Status: offline 		You left out a few options in the poll, Potty - like "No, I like my skin to much to risk lesions and cancer from overexposure to UV."
 
I don't do tanning salons.  I also don't do "tanning" in natural sunlight.  What "tan" I get is from working outside in the yard or being out camping.  And even then, I wear sunscreen if I know I'm going to be outside for prolonged periods (anything longer than an hour or so at most.)  Between the Lupus causing an adverse reaction to the UV, and to much research that lots of UV exposure prematurely ages teh skin, I prefer not to lay out and intentionally soak in it.  I'm not particularly Pale - enough Cherokee in my heritage to prevent being euro-pale like a bunch of yall are - but see no need to force things darker than they already are.
 
(Then again - yall go ahead and lay out in the sun or under an overly strong UV lamp, baking yourselves - when you are wrinkled up and look 60 when you're only 40, give me a yell and I've got plenty of really good natural lotions that might help make ya look Normal again instead of shrivled.... )

As much as possible I hide from the sun, especially during the summer . . . . . Friends & family make fun of me for being a 'mushroom' because I avoid the rays of the sun so effectively . . . . . I still get some tanning going on from the little bit of sun I do get exposed to, but with my family history of skin cancer I don't really enjoy it . . . . . . . & I like the sharp 'bite' of sunlight on my skin, too, but I strive to maintain a certain paleness . .. . .

Status: offline 		I think the sun works really good, I often wonder why someone would pay for what the sun does for free?

The latest result is that BOTH methods have Risks to take into account, but at least in the sun you will be getting Vitamin B which is a Natural Stress Reliever.

You could always get one Painted on?

Go for the Extra Crispy, I wanna eat your Chicken Wings.

   Make that 2 of us..... I love using the tanning beds, they remarkable, soothing things to my mind and relax me like you wouldn't believe. AND it's the worlds best hangover cure!

Status: offline 		I have never used one, but I know someone who goes on a normal basis and her skin tends to look "orange" and it doesn't look healthy or inviting to me personally.
