When Senpai and I first started looking into anal play we looked around here first. Following the advice of others we picked up some books (Anal Pleasure and Health, Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for (Men/Women). These books had great advice on how to procede slowly and carefully as well as how to make it enjoyable at each step of the way. However we noticed one piece of information lacking in both books. Neither one covers how often (frequency) it is ok to engage in it, or how long one should break for between sessions if any.

We want to be careful and enjoy it in a healthy manner, so we are asking how often is it ok in the long run? Is it good to wait a day or two in between, or can one go for a few days in a row and then need to take a longer break? How often is it healthy without risking possible issue later in life?

Any advice or experience you have would be great, thanks in advance for your time.

Best advice I can give. Listen to your body.

Anal sex is not something that you can only do a limited number of times. How often can you have vaginal sex? etc.

So long as the body is willing, and provided nothign is torn, rubbed raw etc, you should be fine.

I'm not an expert on giving advice re: anal play but have done it many times in the past and from my experience, I never had any problems with doing it frequently. My slave and I don't engage in it frequently but I do use her that way from time to time, including fisting. I believe that as long as you're careful you shouldn't have a problem.

They don't give a "proper frequency" because there isn't any. Just listen to your body. Pain or soreness is a clue to back off for a while.

I know for my Dragon and I, this is the usual form of intercourse. I have not had a problem with frequency or such... But, listen to your body.. it may react differently then mine did.

Mr Warren... I need to ask you this then... (no not being a smart ass either... lol)

I've had anal sex before.. (more than a few times)

Where as... I'm slightly opposite.... if it's more comfortable.. than not.. it's not that much fun to me. As to say.... when starting.... if it feels less painful... i feel there's been too much and it's time to give the "area" some time off so to speak.

Is this normal?

i'm like you, I think. I like giving it a little rest, so that when we do I get that sensation of being forced open (not that I get forced, but the muscles certainly think they're being!) There is something very nice about that breaking point for me when it stops hurting and relaxes a bit. Sort of like being on a plane, taking off in the clouds. Everyone's tense until you break above the clouds, then...aaaahhhhh.....

Oh indeed so! Intense pain during "forced" and "unprepped" penetration. And then the sea parts...and i swear i hear a choir singing somewhere...LOL

I love anal sex and so does my sub, Kari. It's not uncommon for us to engage in it several times a day when I'm in the right mood. She doesn't seem to have any problem with it.
