Oddly enough (may just be situational), I rarely suffer drop until I am alone, so aftercare is usually problematic by that point. A phone call from my partner is a big help, and second to that a phone chat wth a friend I can relive the scene with. LOL

i am often left alone to process my thoughts and go through my emotional journey. It can be most difficult at times. He does come in and "jumpstart me," when i get stuck, however. i can relate to "reliving the scene" with a friend. Sometimes i am in a place so deep i don't want to talk about. Has that happened to anyone? Or, i find that it is just too personal/intimate to share, so i stay inside myself for awhile.

I dont usually talk about it. This is the first time that I have opened up about the drop or the scene with anyone other than My Dragon. The problem is that I am bi-polar... going inside myself can be a problem if I stay there for too long.

Yes, i can see where that might have some risks. i am prone to depression and can have issues if i go too deep...He sometimes comes in and drags me out of myself.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing much better today. It has been an interesting ride and I have taken the advise of several of you. I started my live journal this morning and am hoping that I will continue to come out of this like I am. I will let you all know how I am doing though.

Blessings to all...

Next time, eat a piece of chocolate right after the needle play. Dark chocolate seems to work best, but eat which ever you can. ::as long as you're not allergic to chocolate:: See if that helps.

Absolutely, 1st girl phoenix, chocolate and LOTS of water is a good thing. The chocolate brings your blood sugar up so as to somewhat counteract the "drop", as does the little bit of caffeine it has in it, and the water rehydrates you because when experienceing that lovely state of pain and pleasure, one tends to breathe more often, and more deeply, and with every breath we lose water.......

This may not work for everyone, we are so individual, but i've seen it work for many. i'm one of them. i eat 3-4 pieces of chocolate and drink 3 bottles of water after every scene.........

Good luck on your next "flight"......

be warm and cozy,
