I stand corrected [:)]

Umm, there's no -h- in cojones.

sissy Thinks that perhaps what You really meant there, Sir Kenin, is "cojhones"!

You know what, Lam, You are absolutely right, Sir, there is indeed no "h" in "cojones"!

However, there IS an "h" in "cojhones" ... go figure, Senior! [:D]

Sounds like you suffer from BOARD CORRECTNESS.

Lordandmaster -> RE: In Memoriam, Stages of Posting, All time threads & posts (2/24/2006 6:36:11 PM)

Not to be confused with bored correctness...

Damn, Lam, sissy was just about to post that!

Now instead he'll have to post a rant about CM members with more than 1200 posts under their belts who still haven't managed to figure out how the "quote" function works! [:D]

b]Adendum!

Almost forgot!

Two other posters I miss that are not gone but just haven't posted much lately are :

M {Blktllfullfig} and Mr. Thorns - Both who's posts I thoroughly enjoy.

I guess there was a glitch and my first post did not go through?

Question #3: What poster who quit the MB do you miss most and why? For me it would be Veronicaofml for his unique syntax, brutal honesty, and sense of self he put into his posting.

There are four posters who I have missed; two are back, Lam and Cello.
The other two are Faramir and DarkAngel.

All four are exceptionally smart. The latter two, both very forthright, always putting all of their cards on the table and checking political correctness at the door.
I sincerely appreciate those who write and speak from the soul.

Question #4: Can you provide a link to your favorite post ever since signing up for collarme? If not your favorite, then can you provide a link to a post you rate very highly? Below is a post I would rate very highly because it was so perfectly insightful and responsive its question:

Reality check - Far and away my favorite thread.

Both superior logic and debating skills were employed on both sides of the argument. Unfortunately I did not pay attention to the thread until after it had ended. Some of the first parts were boring and filled with mindless, argumentative gibberish, reminiscent of Taliban news conference. The latter parts were very interesting. Not to take away from the other participants, but Akasha, Merc and Realist delivered thought-provoking performances.

As MH lamented, "hmmm thought this thread would have gained more attention. "

Well, whether or not this thread had gained the attention I hoped, your response here has made me glad I threw up the question. You named posters from the past who don't post anymore. This is important because a) you remember them/honor them and b) they left this forum which begs the question "why?" This is why I developed my own theory on the "stages of posting."

Next, you reference a truly GREAT THREAD, where OP was a highly articulate, new poster whose views sought to deconstruct the online nonsense of BDSM on the internet. I thought he had great things to say. I liked the way he attacked 24/7 relationships, financial domination, and the online - fantasyland view of the BDSM "lifestyle." I thought this thread was a great example of someone fresh stirring up the pot and getting things going.

So, let me just say I am so glad that you have shared some element of the past and the preceding others who have posted here. You have made my morning.

UtopianRanger -> RE: In Memoriam, Stages of Posting, All time threads & posts (2/26/2006 4:25:14 AM)

Thank you. You probably would have had more participation had you posted your query in the ''off topic'' section.

With the exception of a few personal attacks, the thread ''Reality check'' was indeed a good one. The OP posts had a very sardonic twist to them that made the thread very entertaining - I'm glad you liked it.

A good friend of mine who actually designs BBS systems once told me '' When it comes to a message board, the writers mean everything and the readers mean nothing''

I always wonder about that one.

Oh, but your post did go through, UtopianRanger, because sissy read it only a few minutes after you posted it late on 2/24. You must be using the same ISP that is causing cloudboy to lose so many of his posts, too! [;)]

sissy Totally concurs with that choice, UtopianRanger, but he forgot to mention it in his own OP on this thread. However sissy suspects that you won't find many at CollarMe that will agree with us.

Since sissy had an almost 7 month hiatus from the CMMB himself he wasn't aware that either of these two had also disappeared in the interim, although he noticed that neither were posting when he returned. But one cannot assume that just because someone hasn't posted for 1-2 months that they have actually quit the boards - they might be on an extended vacation or business trip. Even if one is away for only a few weeks, all the extra stuff one has to do in preparation for travel before leaving, and all the catch-up stuff one has to do immediately one returns, can easily double or triple the actual time away from the boards. Anyway, since both of these characters are each partially accountable for why sissy got roped deeper into the boards once he initially started posting on them, sissy would certainly second the sentiments that he just quoted.
