I personally don't think it is. Which is why i do not say I am into bdsm when I tell people what my flavor of sexuality is, I tell them I am kinky.

I'd hazard a guess most people would be missing the d part at least. Nobody has any d anymore, it wasn't like this in my day, in my day we had to polish the floor until it made people walking over it in kilts feel uncomfortable. An all we had to do it with was toothbrushes!

Would it mean that BDSM only applies if you are both a sadist *and* a masochist?

Would it mean that you were not into BDSM only during times you had some one to discipline or be disciplined by?

Would it mean that if you the type to play without restraints or rope, would it really be considered bondage?

Nope, more like if you're not into bondage or domination or discipline but you ARE a masochist, but you don't care for sadists, then that's half of the term which you don't do, so is it still bdsm?:))
