Hello again. Another question. I cannot understand how one controls who can see which pictures in one's profile. Other websites have very clear settings for this sort of thing. I can't even find any instructions anywhere here for navigating and using this website. Sorry, but I am older and even though I have been online for 13 years and run many programs, much at this website is not the least bit intuitive for me. Is there a way for me to view my own profile as others see it? Is there a way to select certain people to be able to view some or all of one's own pictures? I had some private pictures uploaded here but for days I have not been able to tell who can see them and who cannot so I have had to delete them. Thanks again!

If you post a photo on your profile, anyone can view it. There are no controls to determine what anyone can, or cannot view, unless you hide your profile from everyone. Then no one can see them. At least that is how I understand it in my years here.

I agree that this website isn't very intuitive, but we muddle along somehow! If you want to view your profile, I've found that if you go into "Edit Profile", there is a tab to "View Profile" which is how I look at mine. If there is an easier way, I haven't found it. You would think that that link would be right on the front page but... As for private sorts of photos, I'd save those and e-mail them separately to whomever you are interested in. After all, why let the whole wide world see what we have to offer? Save it for those worthy of our regard! Welcome to CM!

I thank you both very much for replying to my question! So then I wasn't just blind or stupid - the controls I was looking for have not been found by others or do not exist. Right, I agree, why show everyone everything we have? That is precisely why I wanted to be able to "authorize" only select people to see my private pictures. But you're right - since I can mail them in a reply to someone that will work. Well, quite a few people here have already seen my breasts, LOL! [:D]since those pictures were up in my profile for about a week !!! [;)] Oh well, I already know that the internet not only spans the globe but reaches right up to my front door. If it is online, then people in my town will see it. I accepted that as soon as I chose to upload or send pictures to ANY person or website. Privacy is a comforting illusion that helps us maintain our fragmented and incomplete identities. Oops! Someone stop me quick!!!

When I want to view my own profile, I just put my screen name in the search box and click view full profile.
