Having a movie night (obviously) with Disney flicks (even more obvious) and I present to thee, gentle readers, a choice.  Of all the classics, which do you feel is the most worthy of being viewed at this most prestigious event?

Please note this is in no particular order.

angelikaJ -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:02:32 PM)

Fantasia.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:04:15 PM)

The only classics i see up there are Cinderella & the Jungle Book.  I gotta agree on Fantasia.  That was probably their finest work.

VanIsleKnight -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:10:56 PM)

Ah, right. To me the classics were about 7 of the movies up there, though I can't believe I forgot Fantasia. I also don't think I can find the original one that easily anymore. =/

GreedyTop -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:11:37 PM)

yep, what Linnea said...

(although, we gotta cut him a break.. he's young yet [:D][:D])

VanIsleKnight -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:13:48 PM)

Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast were what I watched when I grew up and that makes them classics darnit :P  *sniffles because Disney is all about Highschool Musical and Hannah Montanah now*

>.<

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:17:19 PM)

True.  Of course the other side of that coin is that I'm old.

Wasn't Lady & the Tramp made by Disney?  that was a great one.

I consider the classics the ones that were made while Walt was alive.

SweetNika -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:17:59 PM)

All of the above, my son who is 11 is still a HUGE disney fanatic.

Edited to add: altime favorite is 101 Lady and the Tramp

Aylee -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:18:26 PM)

You did not list it, but I would vote for The Black Cauldron.  Ya see, as an adult I have never seen the end of it.  I have always ended up getting jiggy with whomever I was watching it with.

dreamofthemoon -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:20:34 PM)

Hi, ViK,

Yup, gotta agree with Linnea and anjelika. Though i personally haven't seen Hunchback or Beauty and the Beast in awhile, my favorite Disney movie's gotta be Snow White. and the Seven Dwarfs. Love me some Disney movies in general, though. [:D]

Mini-hijack... love the new photo, too.

VanIsleKnight -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:22:43 PM)

Gaaah, I've forgotten about a bunch of these!  I loved Lady and the Tramp, and the Black Cauldron was something I've wanted to see for awhile now.

I blame the poll though, I could only put in 10 options :(

intenze -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:36:25 PM)

Mulan! She rocks!

GreedyTop -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:40:08 PM)

Pinnocchio!! Peter Pan!!

LillyoftheVally -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:42:33 PM)

Sleeping Beauty, Snow White

but Beauty and the Beast always has been and always will be my favorite

dcnovice -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:43:36 PM)

The Aristocats.

CarrieO -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:49:55 PM)

Fantasia...by far the very best.

From your list, however, I had to choose The Little Mermaid, mainly because I do a damn fine imitation of
Ursula [;)]

dcnovice -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:53:54 PM)

My Lord, we've all forgotten Mary Poppins!

dreamofthemoon -> RE: Movie Night - Disney Style (8/16/2009 5:54:44 PM)

Ooh, Sleeping Beauty, yes!
