I would not be compatible with anyone who follows strict rules of human interaction. Whether that's this, the three date rule or the rules from Men are from cocking Mars, Women are from arseing Venus.

I agree a month is arbitrary and it depends on the dynamic. It's also very clear that I'm not going to be wearing a Strapon and rooting a man on the first date.

That being said, I love all flavours of good men!

Talking about D/s and other kinky subjects tends to distort my judgment. (After all, I'm male.) If I meet a woman in whom I have a real interest, I want to keep the bdsm discussion to a minimum at the beginning. Of course, some leaks through, but I try to keep my focus (and hers) on our vanilla sides. I did that with my current Mistress and it worked well. Sure, we both knew that there was a definite sexual dynamic, but by the time we met (after about 3 months) we knew that we were firends, too.

This is really a fascinating thread! For me, I wouldn't want to do it. I want to know the whole person. Keeping a part of him "off limits" makes no sense. And as others have mentioned, I would hate to find someone who was compatible and then find out that he refuses to wear panties.

On the other hand, I get plenty of "wank fodder" e-mails. If the ONLY thing he wanted to talk about was kink, then I wouldn't be interested.
