hi there! What I was wondering, a question to the Ladies out here... Do You prefer someone from Your own state, or doesn't it matter where she comes from (US only I assume)? I am confused by only looking at Cali Women, that's why :)

In my searches on cm, I personally tend to look mainly at girls within the state (TX) ... mainly because I require several visits before deciding if a girl is suitable to move in ...

I was open to pretty much anywhere but I am looking for Mr. Right with pretty specific things I wanted so I did not want to limit myself and I can relocate with ease in my circumstance. That being written the closer the better and anything equal a man near me was more attractive to me. There are so many hurdles to clear in relationships distance is a pretty big one. It can be done but the factors vary for the people and what they are seeking. I chose someone who lives 45 minutes away. Was that a main factor compared to following up on some men that live out of state? It is possible but I know I did not sacrifice my desires just to find someone who was close by.

It doesn't matter where she is in the beginning, as long as she is willing to relocate to me. I have zero interest in long distance service.......whatever she thinks that might entail.

I'm a switch not a domme, that being said, They have to be local, that means no less than 45 to an hour away preferably being closer to less time traveled than the hour away. I refuse to deal with long distances and getting limited visitations due to the distance and then the hassle of relocation should we both want that from where every they and their stuff is to my town. Depends on what your are looking for. Do you want real time or online. I have some that are out of state but they do travel to me. I do have to say if they are in your state it makes it alot easier.

When actively looking, I tend to look for men within a 100 mile radius. Sometimes 250. I live on a state line, so it would be rather silly to ignore those who were close just because they were on the other side of that little line on the map. My last sub lived within my state but was still a 4 hour drive away. He could only visit once a month, but we spoke every day on the net. Currently, I have one sub who lives a couple of miles down the road from me and we see each other about once a week. I have another one who lives several states away who seems to make it down about once a year. It's not always about the distance so much as it is about the quality of the man. I don't search for women at all.

Normally I only look within the immediate vicinity (20 miles or less). My current sub, though, is from over 1500 miles away. I only get to see him every six weeks or so but he is now staying for up to 10 days. He started as a penpal, turned into a friend, and is now our sub.

I mainly search in my area, but I'm willing to give someone a shot from further away. But the further away they live, the more of a problem it would be if things turn sour. So the closer they are, the more "trusting" I am of them, without having as much reason to trust them, whilst those who live far away, will be harder for me to trust, until I've had enough time to get to know them. (How long that is, idk, never got that far before lol.)

Those of us who live in states where the D&s lifestyle is not so common, or sparsely populated, almost have to consider other states

I fell in love with a lady who just happens to live over 2000 miles away. Neither of us can relocate for several years and we don't get to see each other very often. Would I like it if we were closer? Sure. Would I give her up because of the distance? No way.
