We gather up all the scammers and web girs and lure them into the middle of a large room.  Then we strip them down, hose them off with a fire hose.  When they are wet and limp from the pressure of the hose, we can string them up to the rafters.  Then, each of us can take prods and poke them.  Poke them up and down, in and out, every now and again using that prod to smack them on the backside or tits.  We can make all the whiney subs who complain they don't find anyone watch us torture those evil-doers, and don't let them have the satisfaction of getting any like treatment. 

Seriously dude.  Do you think that a site which is FREE to us, should have to foot the bill for web domains, web hosting, labor, effort, ect?  Those ads pay so you don't have to.
heck.. even the sites that make you pay to join have ads.
Don't like to see the web girls?  Dont look.

Another site I use has a feature called "Flagmod."  A user finds a profile that looks like a fake and reports it.  Then it's put into a queue and other users vote to delete it or leave it alone.  If a profile gets enough votes, the profile is deleted.  The minimum percentage needed to remove an account is unpublished, though it seems to be around 80 - 100 votes.  However, it has been very effective in getting that particular site cleaned up.  I'd love to see something similar instituted here.
 
I hate to say it, but the OP is right.  The porn bots have overrun the other side.  The place has seriously gone downhill just in the short time I've been here.  If I didn't already know what great people are to be found on the boards, I'd probably be just as frustrated.  As it is, I don't bother emailing people on the other side to try to make a match anymore.  It's a waste of time.  I only email people I know from the forums.
 
ETA: The aforementioned site is also free.
