I read responses I get back from a person with whom I initiated contact. Of course, if the response is not one that does it for me, a polite note of apology and move on. Not everyone does that. It's just the way the internet is. There is absolutely no way around it. If the internet thing is not working out, perhaps try real time events. Responses and acceptance/rejections are guaranteed and immediate there. lovingpet

I submit that they don't respond not because they are time wasters but because your profile leads them to believe you are wasting their time. Quite frankly, it's dreadful. There is zero sense of who you are as a person. Plus I for one am skeptical about someone who can just pick up and move. To me it indicates all kinds of red flags; no family ties, no close friends, no career. I can't imagine it doesn't do the same to everyone else. Basically, look at what you're doing to have everyone run away from you instead of blaming everyone else. Beam in your eye vs the mote in theirs.

I have thought about this ever since forums like this show weekly posts on the same complaint, which for me has happened close to 2 yrs now. I am sure it happened long before I got here too.. Why is it a waste of time? Is it a waste of time to try? Is it a waste of time to get to know people as people and not as potential fucks? Is it a waste of time to discover that someone out there may be compatible or friendly on totally non kink levels? Why is it such a burden on people to type out a few lines without feeling angst because someone does not write back? Do you think they owe you something? Do you think they are required to respond? Why is it such a hardship because they might not? Honestly.. do you find so little value in people that a return investment must go both ways? Me.. If I nod hello to someone on the street or wave hi, I don't expect them to return it. It is nice when they do, but it does not get my panties knotted up if they do not. I like people. More importantly I like me. No effort is a waste of my time.
