Aneirin -> Yay, did it. (8/19/2009 5:09:31 PM)

I did it, after years and months of thinking about it, today on the spur of the moment outside a relevant venue, I went in and got my first ever piercings. Two of them ,both nipples and titanium bell bars at that, but at least overlong bellbars to facilitate thorough cleaning. Yeah, that was a very unusual experience, painful, well only momentarily, the worst of it was not knowing the experience of being pierced. One thing though, if you are familiar with nipple play, everything bar the pierce is a piece of cake. Just done my first saline clean and everything is ok, but am being careful and following the written instructions on aftercare to the letter, the literal interpretation of the wording, as I am good at doing. I am right pleased with myself for stepping out of the me and following my heart.

Odd thing is though, according to the piercer, my only sensitive nipple was a bugger to get through, that one is fine now, no problems, it is the insensitive one that is throbbing a bit and hurt the most, but that was the one that experienced first.

Scorpion tattoo next.

Oh, only one mistake I made, taking my vitamins, I forgot the effect of 100mg of niacin, (vit B3) on sensitive skin, a most unusual experience!

You would get along with my neighbor. He has nipple piercings and one day he got drunk. Well he has gotten drunk on many days in his life but on one particular day he was walking around with a pair of vise grips attached to the ring on one nipple.

I queried him quite carefully and he claims not to be kinky, but I have my doubts. Should I call the cops ? LOL

Woo hoo! Congrats. You're much braver than I, I'd read through the postings you made previously and used the search feature to look up old threads on nipple piercing and come to the conclusion I couldn't do it. You'll have to let us know how the healing process goes - how long it takes and all of that [:)]

Congratulations! I love mine and would totally do it again if I had to... my only word of advice.... dont bump into things with them... though as a male you shouldnt have as much of a problem with that...

Keep an eye on them as they heal as well that they dont begin to migrate. My friend had a piercing that migrated itself right out after about a year and a half.

Grinz...easier said then done! After I had both of mine done, seemed that I was forever bumping them, ouch! The most interesting experience during the healing process was finding out the piercings actually increased nipple sensitivity so that the weight of a t-shirt made them ache...oy!

Niacin I take in an attempt to get me off my liking for nicotine, whether it works or not, I will see, but so far after taking the stuff and a good while after, the desire to smoke is reduced. Niacin on it's own, I take at this point the RDA which is 100mg the effect of the stuff is skin flushing and tingling. I could describe the feeling as the after effect and sensitivity of skin after having done nettle play, but all over. It is like a wave of heat travelling up the body and tingling as it goes, I realised my error when the heat and tingling reached my piercings, not an unpleasant or painful experience, but definately different.

In addition to the aftercare I was instructed in by the piercer, I also take internally, a high strength skin, hair and nails supplement, echninacea, garlic and minerals, all things I know to ward off infection, strengthen immune system and repair skin. So, for my first piercings I am giving them the best chance possible to heal well.

Day three, today, well, it seems I slept on them, but no problems, just a little sore in the morning, but nothing major, but what I have noticed, is boy, my nipples are sensitive, where they were not before, not to this extent, but I love it, I love the feel, the look and the sense of being pierced, bits of metal inside my skin.

Hmmm, next piercing, maybe a frenulum ring. Interesting though, all the piercings and tattoos I want, will not be visible on a day to day basis, they are in esscence, for me.

Nipple piercings are alot of fun, I got mine done 2 weeks ago tomorrow, I am grateful that Master and Mistress allowed me to. They are the bars also and are just yummy.

Niacin causes an increase in bloodflow to the capillaries, causing flushing, warming, and tingling. That, on top of a piercing... most interesting. *wicked grin*

It was interesting, everything, the actual going to the piercer, filling out the consent form and having the piercings done and the sensations later, whilst I was steaming around town getting my shopping. I noticed the pain, but also noticed that if you don't think about it, the discomfort was not so much, and even disappeared at one stage. The first saline cleaning, the niacin, everything was experience and I was noting how I felt. I just tend to analyse everything.
