London's full of em [:D]

There's an old bloke who drank in what used to be my local, in another part of London. He's in his mid 60s now, but used to be an amateur heavyweight boxer in his youth, and a good one too. One night he was walking home after the pubs had shut, slightly the worse for wear, when his path was deliberately blocked by several youngsters (and I mean full-sized ones in their late teens/early 20s), intent on mischief. Their opening gambit was "where do you think you're going, Granddad?".

Without saying a word, he knocked the largest one spark out with one punch, then turned to the others and said "haven't you fucking idiots got anything better to do? You should be out chasing girls, not hassling frail old men". Then turned and tottered off home.

The next day he was back in the pub, muttering under his breath about how his bloody hand hurt. "It's set me sodding arthritis off. And me sciatica too - bloody back's killing me. Bastards." ... then he paused, thought for a second, his face lit up, and he said "Ooh! I think I'll have a brandy! Purely for medicinal purposes you understand". [:D]

This is not about a compassionate release.  It's about the royal family and their relationship with terrorists and of course, it's about business/money too.

Royal family ?..... Care to clarify this nonsense.

It isn't widely known outside the UK, but HM the Queen is actually a secret, crime-fighting ninja in her spare time.

"Majori-sen" is well feared in terrorist circles.

And before you ask, yes I'm bored and yes I'm waiting for the footie to download [:D]

im sure she's just joking.  noone seriously believes the queen has tea with the Taliban on a regular basis

sitting here amusing myself with the tabloid press headlines:

Queen and Prince Phillip have finally come out with regard to political sympathy for the Taliban and Al Quaeda - speculation mounts as government attempts 'dumbdown' tactics after Queen books flight to Afghanistan to talk our boys into changing sides.

Be careful, old sport. The Sachs-Coburg clan don't take kindly to people poking their noses in.

Her Maj is dangerous enough, but Prince Phillip is actually a 22nd level Pokémon, whose super-powers include "SuperOffend" [1] - he is not to be messed with lightly.

[1] this isn't made up; on touring a factory in a largely Pakistani/Asian area in Britain, he saw some loose wiring and said (and these were his actual words): "that's bloody shoddy, did you get a Paki in to do it?" The man's a fucking menace, and the most coherent argument for a republic I've ever encountered. But for as long as Her Maj is as super-ninja'd up as she is, we dare not speak out! [2]
[2] oh good, the footie's downloaded. TFFT [:D]

The other point is that his accomplices, IE Libya itself, is now doing business with the US and UK, indeed oil companies actively lobbied for sanctions to be lifted. Im a little dismayed that anyone pointing out how our legal system works, is accused of not having sympathy for the victims.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8229114.stm

Brown, Blair, Straw, Mandelson et al have much to answer for. I am more scornful of them than of the Scottish justice system. I am not saying compassion didnt play a part in the release, it clearly did.

I am suggesting that the political leadership of both the UK and US put oil and business interests above those of the relatives. Especially back when Bush and Blair were making overtures towards Gaddafi.

If it was a terrorist-for-oil deal, and it's looking like it was, the British government is headed for disaster. Then the next question becomes, what did Obama know, and when did he know it. Was he complicit?

No the next question (if that is your ignorant viewpoint) is why didn't the UK/US alliance just invade Libya and get the oil at a cut throat price, using the excuse of state sponsored terrorism?

Sanity -> RE: Lockerbie bomber is let out to die at home (8/31/2009 7:21:12 AM)

Do you think Brown would ever do anything (like the Lockerbie deal) without Obama's permission?
