Im off to buy some extensions, I want to braid my hair to over double its current length, does anyone have any suggestions on what I am looking for in fake hair? They have all these funny terms I don't really understand

What is the end style you are looking for LoV? The long individual braids or extensions (weaves)? Different hair for different end purposes.

I want long individual plaits

You can get by with a good quality synthetic LoV. Do not waste your cash on expensive REMY or human hair as the individual plaits stand up well and look very nice in synthetic. There used to be a chain called Slick or Sleek or sommat that had great products.
