Aileen, don't know whether it was 2 something your time when you posted, but a couple of rules I try to follow when doing plumbing. 1. Always start early in the day, to make sure you can make the minimum three trips to the hardware store. 2. Stay on good terms with a good plumber who will come and fix what you weren't able to finish before the hardware store closed. I am accomplished at home repair, but I HATE plumbing. I would much rather put up a fence, or put in a window than do plumbing. I hope your fix was successful and/or you have another working shower in your house. This reminds me of the time I was helping my cousin on his newly purchased home, it was probably 20 years old at the time. The valve to turn off the toilet in the master bath was corroded and stuck in the open position, and we had to take the toilet out to put down a new floor. I got the old valve off, took it one of the hardware stores which was usually quite helpful. A kid with rings in his nose and lips asked if he could help, when I showed him the valve, he asked what kind of an engine that spark plug came out of. I was laughing so hard, I could barly drive back. Dragon
