i have seen so many posts and notes in profiles about how impolite Doms (and others) find it when they send a polite inquiry and get no response, that i have designed a multi purpose response form. Mostly i don't want to talk to someone because of obvious problems, such as they
are way too young, too far away, etc.. obvious clear reasons not to engage.

after 2 years on collarme, i am getting tired of typing polite responses explaining my reasons, and have started ignoring them and deleting them without response.

then i thought of doing a generic form, and created one (below)

what do people think? too much, funny, ok, not ok?

it might just be me, but if i got that i would consider it ruder than not getting any response atall. sorry. maybe i havent got into the spirit properly.

in my profile i have in the past stated such things as geography, age preff., and basically put all of that down. if they dont have the manners to read my profile then i dont have a problem with appearing rude and not responding. if they read it and still insist that i should find them interesting i still dont have a problem ignoring them. ive taken the trouble to put it all down if they cant respect my basic premis then what else are they going to have a problem respecting.

to me its just another tool to weed out the unsuitable.

I typed out all my no thank you even if they were often form sounding. If a person made an effort to write me a personal message I do not see the big deal in typing out a quick and polite reply. I think there is a hubris element to people that come looking for a significant relationship and then complain about their time is too precious compared to the people we are hoping to write a sincere personal message.

I do not think funny or generic is a good way to go personally. These are people on the other side and sure some may have not been a close fit at all but they are still people and if they took the time to write something sincere and personal that even if they were not close to a fit I would not diminish them with a generic and humor basically at their expense.

I do not see the need to write a reason why you are not interested and just tell them you are not interested.

I think it would just encourage those it would be best suited for.

*lmao* it is clear we've all had a v-8 today.

as for the form, i think that feeds into the situation far more than necessary. if the rejection is based on something in your profile, it doesn't always imply they didn't read it. i've had people admit that took a chance to see if i'd be willing to overlook a defined preference. if it is something else you can simply indicate you don't feel that you're compatible, wish him well and go on your merry way.

by responding in any form whatsoever you're setting yourself up for rude responses in return or a deluge of neverending stupid mail from the person.

Just delete the email and be over it.

I realize I'm a woman, and that I've never had a problem with emails and replies, however I've found that the ones that complain about 'rude people' not responding to their emails are chronically negative and complain because it gets them attention. If you're getting tired of replying 'thanks but no thanks' then don't do it.

My profile is very specific about the kind of mail I will accept, and that if my requirements are not met, the person will be immediately blocked without any other response from me. If people are dumb enough to send me a first email that doesn't conform to my clearly stated expectations, I gleefully block them- without a second thought.

Problem solved. Five cents please.

Yes, but sometimes, when a piece of mail is especially STOOpid, I like to verbally shred them and then use a feature I really like, My 'block' button. It's very satisfying.

To be blunt, that response would tick me off.

Some women have sent me something along the lines of "I appreciate your interest, but we're not compatible. Best of luck in your search", which says no politely.

well, i wouldn't use that generic form to someone who spent a lot of time sending a sincere inquiry, even if they were unsuitable.

this is specifically for those 'form letters' from people who have clearly not read my profile and are copy and pasting to every female they have the time and energy to contact.

i have only used it twice, and actually i didn't use it after that.

i composed it more for fun and to be witty than anything else. i have shown it to a few friends and gotten a laugh, that is good enough.

thank you for the feedback, i think i will just delete and igore more.

I think something a little more polite would work better. After all it may be email number 13,567,096,756 to you but to the person writing it, maybe it's their first and the snarkiness could put somebody off unnecessarily.

Making a response to be rude to somebody showing any sort of interest in you, including copy/paste messages, is unnecessary.

I believe this site should be used to find somebody, not be an ass to anybody who "wronged" you by expressing themselves in a way you didn't like.

i think using a c+p email or response makes you look like an ass, i fail to see how it does anything other than make the guys who send emails more broody and bitch about fakes or w/e more. this will likly just create more of a bitchfest from men seeking women. simply sending a decent response or none at all, or even a plain "fuck off!" is far more tasteful, at least the guy knows if hes offending or your just not interested, we have enough robots already.
