A bit late, but Mary Jo deserves to be remembered.

May she remain at peace.

how about all those men who died for oil wars? those parents are vowing the same thing on Bush. are you a closet necrophiliac?

Very old news and it is covered in Ted Kennedy's obituary.  However, the Chappaquiddick incident will likely be today's main talking point on FOX news so you will probably get your wish.

How completely rude and tasteless.

*shakes my head*

It is quite sad and tasteless Dame Calla. Unfortunately that is the price of anyone who is a high profile person, their past mistakes or assumed mistakes never really fade away completely. Granted Ted Kennedy made a lot of mistakes in his life yet I like to believe that he did have some sense of remorse though on a private level and not put up for show to the world. The Kennedy dynasty had done a lot of good for the people yet too many are too focused on their human failings and forget the good the had accomplished during their time on this earth.

Even thoughI am a  republican (gasp I know what a shock) I have always admired Tedd Kennedy. I usually disagreed with him but he will be missed. Even as a republican I found this post in bad taste. You don't serve over 40 years without being owed a little respect.

Well if you feel strongly about it, then why haven't you started a thread on the subject. Or is it more fun to try and hijack someone elses thread? Perhaps you couldn't think of any other way to drag bush into another post? Perhaps you are so locked into this partisan bullshit, that anytime anyone says anything bad against a dem, you just have to jump in with some kind of rant? Not sure the reasoning, but it's becoming very boring.

To the OP: We will never know the truth for sure.

Rude and tasteless necrophiliac.  That's me!

But at least I'm not a politician....

Well my dad has been watching it all morning and they have talked about Teddy, but they are not bringing up Chappaquiddick. Maybe you should call them and explain what their main talking point is supposed to be.

tazzygirl -> RE: 40th anniversary of Mary Jo Kopechne's drowning at Chappaquiddick...Kennedy's story still doubtful (8/26/2009 5:43:32 AM)

im not locked. he has posted that link over and oveer and over this morning. talk about partisan bs. care to take bets on how quickly he would be dragging up those who died in the oil wars if Bush had died?

Louve00 -> RE: 40th anniversary of Mary Jo Kopechne's drowning at Chappaquiddick...Kennedy's story still doubtful (8/26/2009 5:47:02 AM)

I'm confused here.  Are we mouring the 40 yr loss of Mary Jo Kopechne (who I'm sure has already been properly mourned by her people).  Or are we mourning the loss of Ted Kennedy, who just died yesterday?  Or are we mourning no one's loss and just looking for ways to bitch, moan, or do what we do best?   By the title of this thread, we are lamenting the past.  Somehow, I doubt thats why this thread was started though.

I've seen the link in two posts and seeing that Teddy just died, that doesn't surprise me at all. After all the two are related. Like I said before, if it really bothers you, then start a thread on all those who died in the oil wars. Not that hard, really.

tazzygirl -> RE: 40th anniversary of Mary Jo Kopechne's drowning at Chappaquiddick...Kennedy's story still doubtful (8/26/2009 5:50:22 AM)

if what i post bothers you, dont read it. try three... all in sucession this morning.. plus another a few days ago. give it a fucking rest already.

Fine, Taz, I de-"spammed" one thread.  I can't change my post on the other thread as the edit button isn't available.

The death of that girl was a tragedy. and i still believe Marilyn's death had alot to do with the kennedy's too. however, they have also done alot of good for this country. Ted paid a huge price seeing as how he wanted to be president and knew mary's death was blocking that. and i agree, for those who believe, he will have to answer in the after life. for those who dont believe, its now the end.

[8|]Oh please, that's like saying, "Michael Jackson may have molested kids but he was a hell of an entertainer"

Vp, unfortunatly millions of people seem to think just that....

This thread is just wrong. A few days of respect is the right thing to do.

Next week Kennedy, ect becomes fair game.

Rest of this week, unless the Dems try to pass/move legistlation based on it, Give him and his familly support or silent respect.
