I am curious about this lifestyle, I am typically a Dom female, but have sub tendencies. I am looking for info at this point.

PyrotheClown -> RE: new (8/26/2009 2:53:22 PM)

you know, curiosity killed the cat......or maybe it was the truck

tashina -> RE: new (8/26/2009 2:55:06 PM)

I find that curiosity keeps things from getting too dull.

Hi Tashina....Welcome aboard!

slutteslave -> RE: new (8/27/2009 1:46:15 AM)

dom sub. they are the same with different faces. talk with me if you want to. it is good to explore your thoughts. not sure this is actually a lifestyle. more like a vortex.

Hi Tashina...welcome from another newbie :)

You're a dom with sub tendancies...would you consider yourself a switch? No insult intended..I'm learning too  [;)]

daintydimples -> RE: new (8/27/2009 4:27:41 AM)

Welcome to the CM forums, tashina and RebornMaster.

Calling someone a switch is an insult to you, RebornMaster?

RebornMaster -> RE: new (8/27/2009 4:37:29 AM)

No, calling someone a switch is not an insult nor are people who do switch an insult to me at all, it came out wrong. I was only telling the OP that i didnt mean any insult by asking a question about her tendencies in hopes of maybe helping her understand herself better since she's new and maybe wasnt unaware of the existence of switch. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you for the welcome :)

DarkSteven -> RE: new (8/27/2009 4:40:38 AM)

Welcome, tashina!

TO join the discussion...  I've known Dom/mes who switched, and subs that switched, but haven't yet known anyone I considered a switch - someone who had no set preference.  I assume they're out there, but in my experience kinksters usually feel more comfortable on one side of the kneel.

daintydimples -> RE: new (8/27/2009 5:38:03 AM)

I agree, DarkSteven. I'm a "mostly sub" switch.

I have come across a few people who really did not seem to have a preference. But they were more Top//Bottom then Dom/sub. Whereas I am most definitely Dominant or submissive, I don't have a lot of in between.

And thank you for the clarification, RebornMaster.

you're welcome [:)]

tashina -> RE: new (8/27/2009 6:51:28 AM)

I honestly don't know what a switch is.  I know I enjoy having someone serve me, and when i think about what makes me feel good I think about having both my hubby and another sub female.  The female for the day time and hubby for night.  I can say that there are times when my hubby get forceful and I like that, but that is few and far between.
I know that before i could ever consider bringing in some else I and hubby need to be sure of and comfortable with how things work between the two of us first!  I don't know how much of the way I am is because I was raised in the old traditions of the Apache culture.  Women are highly valued for our ability to bring life, and we are given certain respect when it comes to how we run our homes.  My word is the law in my home, and I own everything.  I am given respect as the Matriarch of my family, and if someone disrespects me I respond harshly, and quickly.  I am loving and kind, and gentle, but will not accept any disrespect for my self, or women as a whole. I will defend my family at all cost, and will not hesitate to exact retribution for any wrong committed on them. I will also willing give up anything to make sure that my children have what they need. I don't have a pic in my profile because I don't have any that do not have me in full regalia at ceremony and I don't show those to just anyone.

I hope that gives some insight into my thought process.

I take no offense at anything that has been said so far, and am grateful for the information
