There was a young man from Crewe
Who decided to build a canoe
But when he got to the river
He found with a shiver
He forgot to use waterproof glue!

And so this young man with a boat,
Was unable to keep it afloat.
It sank like a rock
So he swam to the dock
Coughing tadpoles out of his throat.

These Tadpoles that came with each choke
were far from a longshore man joke
once out of the bog
he coughed up a frog
and two more every time that he spoke.

That canoeless young man from Crewe,
Sat on a rock feeling quite blue,
His Reason for boating,
Was wailing and moaning,
She now had noone to do!

there sat the young man from crewe,
he sat with his leaky canoe,
with oar in his hand
he looked up and asked,
i can't paddle "can you"

I was referring to my own piece of doggerel.

From Crewe the canoe maker came
Hoping to impress some fair dame
He had spied hlen5
When his boat took a dive
And now he's all wet, just the same.

Hlen5 saw him go into the drink,
She didn't take time just to think,
She threw him a rope,
Once banked the poor dope,
Thought her only intent he not sink!!
