I generally have a small paperback that can be squished into a jacket pocket or handbag when I am going out (the penguins are good for this purpose)

Status: offline 		I just saw an ad for a knitting book of small projects you can do in the pub!!  Personally, I haven't been in any pubs with good enough lighting for knitting, but maybe they're the sort that you can do without looking.

Status: offline 		Well that settles it!  We'll have a knitting party in a pub in a wildly exotic place with good smells (I'm thinking Bangkok or St. Petersburg or Cairo), with dramatic readings by wanders and me. 

ETA:  Potty'll foot the bill.

I am writing to tell you the news.

I talked with my visa agency today and was told there are many new problems with the visa process.  I have decided that the universe is telling me not to go to Saudi Arabia, so I've instructed the agency to discontinue trying to get this through.

I've started looking at other countries - Oman, Japan, S. Korea, etc.  I'll keep you apprised.

I would like to thank all of you for your kind support, and remind you... NOW you can send me Christmas cards!
