Steven thanks for the advice. I actually have a pen for when the ferret and no the chinchilla are out of their cages. It allows them to excersice and socialize w/ the other animals in the house. Between all of my 7 pets I spend a small fortune on food and litter. lol This is the only animal I have ever bought from a store or breeder, even my ferret came from a rescue group.

It was cute when my son said licorice tonight.

Hi Nika, I like the name Licorice, it sounds original. Sounds like you have a small animal army, lol, it must be fun and it must keep you entertained. We just got a dog from a rescue agency. It is an American Foxhound.

SweetNika is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the chinchilla is not my son

What the hell did I do with that other glove?

My pal has six chinchillas in the room next to his, they all get let out of the cages in pairs for a run around the room for an evening, and yes, they modify everything with their teeth, nothing lasts, so corners of anything important are protected with aluminum angle. One or two them even get let out of the room for a charge around the apartment, usually when the pals are around for a beer, then the chins are perched on shoulders, heads and chewing shoes. They all get treated from time to time, raisins that have been soaked overnight. His chins names are all named after a charachteristic of their appearance or personality and they are not that quiet, they squabble, and that is when the noise comes, that and when by mistake a female is let out with a male, there is much squeaking then, but the kittens are cute.

Me, after reading the books of Gor, I dislike seeing creatures in cages, and have convinced him they need more space, so today we were getting wood and wire to turn the whole room into a cage, but with the ability to keep the pairs seperate. So not only do they have the ground space, but they have the wall space upto the ceiling too. I told him if he must keep caged creatures, give them the best possible living enviroment.
