Hi,
My name is Mia, tell me a little about yourself..........

You know, same thing you would talk about with anyone new you met and were trying to explore their depths.

okay submia,

when you meet a guy you like, period, what do you talk about? What questions do you ask?

A Dom is just a Guy.

Treat him the same as you would any other.

just talk, they arent youre Dom until they are, if you see what i mean, therefore just talking is the best way of getting to know a person, their reponses, thoughts, ideas and so on.

as you get more comfortable with them and get to know them a little better questions will pop up in youre head relevant to the person youre talking to.

the rules of engagment are the same here as anywhere.

I guess that would depend on what you're trying to get out of them.

The best questions to ask me are ones about Atheism - message me some questions I will show you.

Honestly, I think you read a profile and formulate your own.

If there is no profile available because you are in the supermarket and you know the the guy is a Dom because he is dressed in leather and his shirt says, "Number One Daddy Dom" you should probably run.

However, if you do not run the questions asked and approach taken are the same you would use in other circumstances.

Will there ever be a boy born who can swim as fast as a shark?

"If I smack your ass will you smack mine?"

*grin*

Really though, just talk normally to them...getting to know you is always a fun game to play.

Ok fair enough advice as far as it goes. But I rather feel the OP was driving at the sorts of questions to ask where the answers will either affirm that the guy knows what he's talking about or will wave red flags. If that's the case, then mia, you need to do a bit of research of your own so you have some idea of the answers, then ask some pointy questions about play such as:

1. Do you like to use clamps? How long do you leave them on for?
2. I read a bit on the boards about subspace. Have you taken your subs to subspace? What did it seem like to you? How did you get them out?
3. What's aftercare? Or ... Do you give aftercare? What do you do?
4. Someone mentioned sub drop and that seemed very scary. Have you dealt with that before?

Check out the http://www.albanypowerexchange.com/ site for great information for newbies! Also the search function here will uncover lots of threads on those topics. Get some ideas of the range of answers first ... then see what the Dom says. If he says he leaves clamps on for "hours", doesn't believe in subspace, aftercare or subdrop ... run a mile, fast or outswim the bloody shark!

Some good advice so far.

If they are secure individuals, ask them whatever the hell you want to ask them. If they are insecure, then, yeah -- it'll be like walking on egg shells with them. Which is why people tend to prefer the secure individuals over the insecure individuals.
