Hi everyone and thanks for reading - I finally decided to tell my girlfriend (who's tried light bondage) about my desire to put her in a cage, and to my surprise she's totally cool with the idea! Problem is, we're way too shy to walk into a pet store and start climbing into cages - so I need to ask on here about what size cage I need (any cage I buy needs to be collapsible and fold up under the bed) - she's about 5' 5" and 110lbs...so she's fairly small, but I want to make sure she's comfortable inside and not cramped...any suggestions?

Most pet stores have those pieces of crap for 50-100; they are 48 long so 30-36 inches wide. So she is already 17 cramped. The metal has burs so she will get cut up and her weight will cause the flooring to cave in over time. Get a good one, should run you about 700 to 1000. They are usually padded, you can use them as a bondage table as well and they do break down. I believe their length is 6 ft, the ones I have inquired about

Unfortunately I live in NYC

Pop across the Hudson River, or get on the LIRR, find a box store, size it. Make an effort.

I built a cage a few years ago. What I would suggest is think about how the occupant will spend time in the cage. Get dimensions based on sitting, kneeling, lying prone with legs extended and folded, lying on the side, width of shoulders, and hips. These dimensions will help you scope out what size cage you need. Then go to the store with a tape measure and find the one that most closely fits your needs.

I recommend one somewhat larger than your girlfriend.

Thanks everyone - I ended up getting one that's 4x3x3...She won't be in it for a long period of time so it should be comfortable enough...it comes in the mail today, but unfortunately I'm sick and now won't be able to test it immediately :(
