There oughta be a law against a musician or group covering a song if the definitive version has already been done and no improvement on said version is being offered.

Some examples of this are: Dancing In The Street, by Martha and the Vandellas; On Broadway, by The Drifters; and, to a lesser extent, My Girl, by The Temptations.

I agree DesertRat! Also a law against using great old classic's for comercials[:'(].
This bring back and use it and/or do it over is getting Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of control.
The remaking of movies really should have a strict law!
Does no one have creative imaginations anymore? Can no one take us somewhere we haven't gone before?
Take the "Pink Panther", I mean Steve Martin is a great actor in his own right, but to have the audacity to redo a role Peter Sellers developed and nurtured I find just plain insulting!

Make it a law there will be no more copycat crap, give us something fresh and new things to stir the mind and imagination!
As you can tell this shit reaally bugs the crap out of me[:@].
