I happen to be very fond of the song Peggy-O by the Grateful Dead, it was the song my wife and I had our first dance to at our wedding.
I was perusing Youtube and came across some other versions of it....man what a difference the band makes!! Judge for yourself:

Simon & Garfunkel

Why do they leave out the letter b on "Garage Sale" signs?

Yeah, I know what you mean, Arpig. I've always had this fantasy of having my own radio show and it really got strong after Bob Dylan started doing his "theme time" shows on XM radio. He takes a certain theme like say "the weather" and picks out all these great but often obscure songs that have something to do with it. Not only would that be fun, but I always daydreamed about a show where you'd pick one song - like you did with Peggy-0 - and then play all these wildly diverse versions of it. Songs like "Stagger Lee," "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and thousands more where they've been recorded so differently so many times over the decades.

What a fun and cool way to spend the hours.............luci

PS....hands down best version of "Stagger Lee" ever:
