Okay, I have a question for all you domly like people out there in cyber land...

How would you feel if your sub like counter parts had marks (ie bruises, scratches, bite marks) on their body that you did not put there, on a rather regular basis?

DarkSteven -> RE: Not Your Marks (8/30/2009 10:11:20 PM)

If she did not have my permission to play, she would need to explain to me where they came from.  If I was not satisfied with her answer, then I can't imagine how things could continue.

MagiksSlave -> RE: Not Your Marks (8/30/2009 10:18:46 PM)

No, not from play...

I shouls have been more spesific... it isnt a play thing, its a work thing.

Veterinary hospital? Daycare center?

So the question as I take it is, the source of marks is understood. It's only the sight of other-than-him marks that is the issue?

What kind of job do you have that gets you bitten consistently?!?!?!?

Yes, the source of the marks is a known and is unaviodable. My question is would you find it intolerable to look at even if you knew where they came from.

Sorry not a domly type but my thoughts are that given that you work in special education I know too well how easy it is to get bitten, hit and scratched by the people in question.  I would feel that the d type was being overly sensitive if he had issue with these marks.  In fact I would hope in some way that they are proud of the work that I do which is difficult and often a quite thankless job.

Now if I were getting them from some scening with someone else without his approval that would be a whole different ball game.

If a dominant had a submissive who was involved in food service and preparation, that dominant would have to accept the fact that the submissive could not grow long fingernails, no matter how much it was desired.  A submissive in the military will not always be able to be at a dominant's beck and call as the military gets first chance at any free time.

In other words, if a dominant finds any "marks" or limitations caused by a job intolerable, then the dominant needs to get a real life, grow up, and act like an adult.

I gotta say any Dom who could not understand the limitations of Life on Lifes terms needs a head check!

Andi is just Clumbsy.... Bruises the only thing that sucks is that the tend to last longer then the ones I put there and I just wish I knew what the Coffee Tables Trick was. Cause those bruises last for a week or so everything I do is gone or black to brown in like 2 or 3 days.

Just some food for thought.

Chest Thumpers expect you to do the impossible and call you a waste of time when you fail to gather the moon and the stars and find a place to put them on command.

The marks of survival, close misses and the stuff that makes life’s struggles worth winning have a positive effect on me. I even like scars, a lot. A women with some scars and a few battle bruises just might be tough enough to hang with me!

However, trying to focus on anally ramming your slave while she still has a big tattoo on her ass of an arrow that says “property of Harry” . . . and you aren’t Harry, makes it a little hard to hold my concentration. Other’s marks of ownership and other people’s mating scars like the ones you get on your back by your spine put me off.

The source is known, understood and unavoidable.... any 'problem' therefore being one of maturity level of the Master. Personaly I'd have no problem what-so-ever, not with the marks.... I might look into her occupation and have safety concerns there but thats a seperate issue.

DarkSteven -> RE: Not Your Marks (8/31/2009 6:47:59 AM)

MS, you work.  That contributes to the world, and also earns money that goes to maintain the household.  As such, I view it as a way for you to earn honor for your Dom, and the marks are simply a record of what you're doing.

RS, the easy way is for you to simply change your name to Harry.

Lashra -> RE: Not Your Marks (8/31/2009 7:25:26 AM)

If it is part of the submissives job, no I wouldn't even think twice about those marks. I can't see why some would get upset but then again you never know with some people.

I used to work with 'challenging behaviour' Mental handicapt adults in a locked ward enviroment, there where some wards in that hospital I'd have had no problem with a girl of Mine working in, other wards I would have had a problem with the level of risk. Too many variables to say one way other the other without actualy being in that position but as I said that is quite a different issue than the one about marks. That is your job, those marks are simply the result of that job.... I can see maybe having a problem with the job from a safety angle, but not with the marks outside of that issue.

Knowing myself the way I do, I would feel sympathy for my submissive and do what I could---massage, application of ointment or solution of some sort to help clear it up, etc.---to make it better.  If the marks were becoming larger or deeper or anything indicative of a worsening situation, I would insist she speak to her supervisor about what is going on, if she had not done so already.

Marks from another play partner?  In certain instances, not wild about seeing those.  It would be different if we were living together and she played with another---since she comes home with me, I am going to see the other dominant's marks when they start to appear.  If she is not living with me but she is mine yet allowed to play with another, then I don't care to have her come see me or go to see her and see another's marks on her.  Call me weird if you wish...I just prefer not to see the "proof" that another lives closer to her and has more play time with her than I do.  If it is someone I am playing with on a casual or a beginning basis, I still prefer not to see marks from another when I play with her.

DavanKael -> RE: Not Your Marks (8/31/2009 9:05:56 AM)

I have only scanned the responses but my concern with bite marks would be the disease potential from others.
