Do you submissive/slave moods affect your posts?

hi everyone,

Well I dont know if its the same for everyone, i would hazard a guess that it is, but as a slave or submissive your moods and thoughts can be changed given the "space" your in at any given time.

Do you notice a change in your posts depending on the level of submission your feeling at any given time?

Can a particular post deepen your submissive feeling or perhaps snap you out of one you were in?

Or, are the boards an intellectual property for you, one where you just get your thinking cap on and respond totally intelligently all the time?

Given that submissives and slaves can go through all kinds of emotional and mind spaces, do you take that into account when reading other peoples posts?

Well...ive written this to ask a submissive, but I suppose i could ask the same of a Dominant..but saving writing up two separate topics, lets do it all here hehe

I can't speak for the others here of course, but I find when I post in the forums, its more as myself. Just me, not sub mode. But when I answer the mails I get, I always answer as the submissive me, with proper respect. Even if I'm telling the dominate to disappear, I do it respectfully.

Excellent question jali! When I was going through my Dom drop and had no answers for it, pup very carefully asked me if there was a possibility I was spending to much time on the boards and reading some of the posts made me angry. It was a valid question and one that I thought could of been the reason for my outbursts. Yes, of course reading some of these threads cause me to have emotions, how I chose to react to the threads is a different story.

Here are some of the things I've experienced with posting and reading posts:

1. When Master did my first cutting I shared it on these boards, a few of the submissives/slaves here then shared theirs with me, I was so appreciative. At the time, I was so exhilerated and also floating within subspace, it was almost as though, those people who shared with me were part of my aftercare. They gave me someone to share an experience with, a kinship feeling or something on a slave level. It made me feel really good.

2. Sometimes when i read things, I get really concerned. Whether I feel someone is in danger, or being too careless, or whatever....it makes me snap into my intellect, i get frustrated and wonder what i could post that would make a difference, finally i decide there is nothing really I can do and have to drop the feeling.

3. When slaves share how they feel in their slavery, god...i just so love that. I just melt down and sit in that lovely place i can so relate to.

4. When people fight and bicker on here, I guess I'm in my intellect, I just kinda go "hrmphhhh,..damnit".

5. Sometimes I can feel the strength of a Dominant by their posts and it doesnt have to be what they are saying or what they are talking about or even the words they are using, sometimes a Dominants posts just kinda oooze that matter of fact Dominess...i do find myself responding to that in a very good way.

ok,, i could go on...but im rambling...hope other people post.

Thanks for the posts so far! and so true MistressGA...everything is always about how we respond hey.

It does,, even now, after a simple day of vanilla life and reading this post (and others) makes me feel very submissive and I start to think about the woman who owns me (I always think about her though).

for myself, my posts are usually consistent in their demeanor. i've worked hard to not let my emotions lead me or overtake the headspace i need to be in. as Master always says..others should affect who i am and how i act. i'm a slave all the time and should retain my proper placee no matter what others are doing or saying around me. if i read a post that particularly irritates me, i don't respond to it then..step away and chill and then come back and post my response in a respective manner. as i don't have a "personal" relationship with hardly anyone on the forums here (meaning there are few that i've spoken to offline in any way) i don't get affected by happiness or sadness or concern too often. i just remain respectful always and i'm good to go!

Absolutely, and I have to be very careful having a mood disorder to begin with. The worse I feel inside, the more intense my posts seem to become. It's something I am working on.

No. submission, for this slave, is not a "feeling" that fluctuates, it is an orientation, a constant undercurrent to everything this slave does. just like this slave doesn't feel there are times when she feels any different "level" of being born in the year 1966, or being freckled, or heterosexually oriented.

No. there have been posts that this slave has felt a sense of joy for the poster, or amusement at the humor in the post, admiration or appreciation for the poster's point of view, even if not shared by this slave--also a bit of sadness for the lost, lonely, misguided and occasionally surprise~however, this slave does not see submission as a "feeling" or as an emotion evoked by other's posts.

i can honestly say that my mood is often reflected in my posts and some subjects do affect me greatly. i could provide a list of subjects that really set me off or inspire me...but i won't. it would take aaway from this thread. besides, most people here probably already know what they are anyway.

No, not for me. What I absorb through my eyeballs has nothing to do with what's always inside and Himself is the only one to whom that pertains. There are posters whose words I do appreciate or whose perspective coincides closely with my own, but as I only know a few of the posters here r/t, the vast majority are simply my own perceptions.. and when those are based simply on words, I don't give them a whole lot of credence, even if those words are always consistent.

I'm going to use IronBear as an example.. because my 'perception' based solely on the words I've seen him write here is that he's a man's man, a Master, compassionate, but confident and doesn't care too much if 'his' way is accepted or not because it's 'his' way and he's comfortable with that.. but truth is, for all I know, he walks around with a cock ring and collar on all day long and calls the little woman Oh Holy Goddess, Mistress of the Universe. ::chuckles:: I don't think there's a single poster here whom I enjoy reading quite so much as IB though and regardless of my perception or how true or false it may be, the fact that I think of him in a certain way doesn't effect how I think of 'me' nor does it effect 'my' submissive nature and how it pertains to Himself. That said, there are times when my heart goes out to someone, but again, that has nothing to do with my submission.. it's just a human thing.

As a sub/slave i like to read all the posts that relate to what i'm thinking about at that time and also to compare my thoughts with others at the same time ..

But my mood does not affect my posts as i always try to stay objective..

In agreement with Celeste...i feel compelled or moved or happy or unhappy based on what another poster may be expressing, but my submission is between my Master and i only. As Celeste said, it's a human thing.

I absorb the things around me and the things I'm involved in like a sponge (maybe due to my pisces moon lol).

Although this doesnt change what I identify with, it can have an effect on my thoughts and feelings.

Like for example, if Im at a dinner with my in-laws and parents my feelings of submission are going to be different than if I was at the Hellfire club, or even alone with Master at home. I'm always slave, but the atmosphere and whats going on around me is going to effect how I feel and express that.

When I read posts, I kinda absorb them, check out how they are making me feel and think. Depending on whats going on around me, i feel this is reflected in how I type or respond to posts. Like for example, using one of the situations I used in a previous post, when i was so flying after Master did that cutting on me, I dont think I would have been capable of getting into a deep and meaningful philosophical discussion. I doubt I could even put full sentences together lol. If I've joined the forum to post after a hard day at work, my responses might be purely intellectual, my submissive nature might not be so apparent in my writing.

Thats kinda what levels of submission meant to me, not particularly as an identifier, but just how its expressed or felt at any given time when reading posts or submitting them.

Nope. When I post, it has nothing to do with feelings of submissiveness or not. Sure, some posts bring out different feelings ( disgust, anger, a smile, etc ), but I don't associate those feelings with whether or not I am feeling submissive at the time or not.

Face it, I am usually just my ole bitchy self

I am not submissive by nature though I do submit and am in submission all the time to Masters will..so can't say as submisison has a bearing on manner of posting.

I think the percieved tones that persons may find or gather from my posts are due more in part to the identification and agreement I have within my own life, and the enormous joy comes through my words when finding such with similaritys more close to home.

There are times when I do loose my place in response to something, and am quickly reminded by Master.

It's that empathic thing that Pisceans have going on. :) You can't help but absorb the vibes of those around you so they effect you to a certain degree. If someone is in a bad mood, that can put you into a bad mood even if you weren't before, or if someone is flying on joy, you can empathize and take on some of that yourself. It's like you can't seem to help it. It's just the way it is.

I so totally understand where you're coming from.. but then, my moon and my ascendant are both also in Pisces.. as well as 6 of my other 10 houses. The only thing that saves me from floating off the face of the Earth is my Sun being in Leo. It's like that thread.. born or bred to be submissive. I couldn't escape it! ::laughs::

i am sure that my mood effects my posts. i am much more likely to post something happy or make jokes if i am in a really good mood, if i am depressed, i am sure that shows also. i am not sure what you mean by my level of submission. i am me, that doesn't change for me. i understand that others have lives and issues to deal with, and i try to take that into consideration when reading other posts. i think most peoples moods would effect how they interact online and off.
