ORIGINAL: harddaddy4u ]You can continue to fixate on the GOP if you want, but I suggest you take a good hard look at the eminent disaster that is the Democrat party. Obama's poll numbers are tanking almost daily, and Reid's and Pelosi's are in the teens. The economy began to tank around the time that Democrats took control of both houses, in 2006. That is not a coincidence. The stock market began to wobble and fall around the time that Obama became the presumptive nominee, falling from its high of around 14,000 to about half that. That's not a coincidence either. The stock market has recovered slightly since then, in spite of, not because of, anything the Democrats have done. Oh, I love nothing more than a good spin. When the economy tanked, it was the fault of the Democrats in general and Obama in particular. When the economy recovers, it is in spite of Democrats and Obama. Yes, there's nothing like a bit of open mindedness in one's world view. Oh...and as for Bush keeping us safe for 7 years (After one small boo boo where the world trade center was knocked down on his watch, please, don't spin it, I've seen the spin before) I am gratefull for that. However, I think the way he did it was not necessarily the best manner in which to accomplish the goal. Amputating a leg will solve the problem of a broken toe. It is not, however, the best practice of medicine. Attacking a country that had nothing to do with the attack (I had no problem with his invasion of Afghanastan), Vastly increasing the power of our intelligence apparatus to spy on both foreign nationals and American citizens, and of course, instituting a system of torture that conforms neither to our legal system or the Geneva convention were absolutely necessary to accomplish the goal. But, for those who want to, feel free to continue your "Republicans good. Democrats bad" world view. After all, what answers to complex questions could there be that can't be fit onto a fortune cookie?
