Yay! Fall is here. Autumn is my favorite time of year . . . . . While feeling a strictly friendly solo thing going on these days, I'm enmeshed in local BDSM 'community', going to several munches & at least one party or class a month . . . . My vanilla life is richly dull these days, satisfying & kinda boring, & I'm liking it that way . . .. . I can feel the build-up inside myself to shift, to get more active & more productive, but I'm also content to allow my healing stasis to continue however long it needs . . . . . Here's to a good September!

Halloween is in sixty-one days. Remember to do wood burning in a well vented area. ^_^ My wanderlust is acting up again. Which is particularly 'bad' since I am not longer required here with the family. [8\|] Despite the craziness that is here with the family I feel pretty good. Go self-esteem! ra ra ra.

Happy September to you, Kia. Fall is a beautiful time of year. I will be celebrating My birthday this month, so I particularly like September. This year, I get Folsom for a birthday present. LOL. I'm pretty content in My world. I'm not doing as many munches as I would like due to the driving distance. That's something I'll be correcting this month. I'm planning on going to Edges for My first time tomorrow. Still a bit of a drive, but it should be worth it. I'm looking forward to the experience. While visiting a new play space is always fun, I think this time will have a little extra zing to it. This is clip's two weeks leave from his tour in Afghanistan. For the non military types around, that's Army talk for vacation. There will only be a few days that he is spending with Me due to other family obligations, so I'm planning on making them count. I think he'll be one of the few people in the Army that goes back to a war zone more marked up than when he left it. LOL. In seriousness though, I'm just happy that he's in this country, rather than where the danger is. That will end on the seventh. MP and I will be heading to Merc and beth's place for the collective birthday bash on the twelfth. That's something I'm really looking forward to. I'll finally get to meet SteelofUtah and his girls. I'm sure that will be just great.

Fall is my favourite time of year! The heat, humidity and bugs disappear. The sunlight get a special quality to it. It's almost like a big relaxing, exhale. I am still on a little buzz from my trip to Colorado. I had such a great time with my youngest brother, sister and their families. My sister lives is such an amazingly beautiful valley and has a dream job (for us horse crazy people). She works for a world famous horse trainer and I got to go to work with her and ride some of the priciest horseflesh my ass will probably ever plant itself on. We took off up into some BME for a great afternoon of riding. I also got to ride a few cutting and reining horses. OMG, I was sure I was going to hit the dirt a few times. Thank god it's kind of like riding a bicycle, the body just remembers. I stayed on and had a blast. I also was able to get my hands on a bunch of old family photos and documents my mother has, to scan and preserve. All in all, it was a great trip. With the cooler weather, I've been riding a lot more. I have also made myself work with my younger horse more than taking the easy route with my Old Reliable. The youngster is forcing me back into my A game, which is a good thing. It has been a long time since I've ridden a green horse. Especially one as spunky as he is. I've just been so busy having fun when I am not working, I haven't even thought much about BDSM and M/s stuff. One girl is off helping her mother get packed and moved (a several month process) and the other has been staying with her mother (cancer) that just passed away. She is now dealing with the aftermath of that and I don't know when or if she will return to Iowa. Funny thing to tell though. After all the hullabaloo about tributes and pros around here lately (like when isn't there something......) I was contacted by an older gentleman on the other side that expressed an interest in sending me some dinero just because. Yeahhhhhhhhh, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhtttttt. Now I half believe it's probably one of the male noses that got bent out of shape by something I said in one of the recent threads, trying to have some fun with me. "Oh I will show her! Let her think I am going to give her some money and lead her on and shit on her." Of course it could be for real (though I haven't seen any evidence of it and I am a cynical bitch) but then again, my Publisher's Clearing House winning entry might be for real too......[:D] Just gotta love this place!!!

"Enmeshed in the local scene" is an understatement for the shitstorm I am enduring around here! Not that I am alone in the game, of course! [:D] It's been quite a polarizing month, August, and it will be very interesting to see what comes out of it all. Happy news--My friend's mare dropped her foal a few days ago! We hoped for a filly but this is one adorable colt, sorrel like his mom, but I gather he already has his dad's 'tude. So I get to be horsecrazy from a distance, anyway! It's only a two hour drive or so. Otherwise, SSDD. The herd thinned itself, the last one to fail to make the grade DEFINITELY rating an eyeroll. Sometimes I think that I am the pickiest woman in the world, but I look at my scene family and think, Why would I add just ANYONE to this mix?

I like September. ^_^ A lot of birthdays in it for my life, and it's a good time for me to start planning my Halloween costume. I'm thinking a mix of current costumes I have to make some sort of ghost/spirit/creepy cultist thing.

You should take advantage of the opportunity to indulge your wanderlust a bit, even if only going on a little day trip or visiting a couple of people from CM. It's good to store up those opportunities for when life gets to hectic, and it sounds like you've been under a lot of pressure lately. Ahh September, heading into the wet season with the electrical storms and deluges (hopefully landing on the water shed or we have heaver water restrictions again) and bloody freezing nights. Of course the saving grace...Samhuin.

once again i happen by mostly from chance at the first of the month and make roll call only to most likely not be here again till the next one~ nothing much to report except attending 2 recent sessions i had booked with a pro, during the experience there were several other women assisting her as well though only one always seemed to be at her side; the group setting both was relieving and yet somewhat unnerved me at the same time. she liked to wear a mask, and you could tell she was into playing safe which helped to further put me at ease as she wore latex gloves most of the time and would often ask if i'm ok; she used a few standard tools of the trade as well as some rather unusual toys and some other things i'm just not really comfortable with and pushed my limits just a hair, but overall i came out ok and the experience was memorable. the thing that stuck out in my head the most was during the time that i was limited in my comprehension because her enjoyment in the practice of sensory deprivation, i could have sworn people were mispronouncing words, though it was hard to make out, it sounded like they were calling her a dentress. i like her pretty well, but i'm not sure how often i'll be going back, it's somewhat rare that i get the urges of an oral masochist~

Let's see, well, in August the sale of Mum's house fell through (after 2 months of messing us about) and I had the great pleasure of shredding the bank manager who had been totally incompetent in the handling of the transaction for the buyer. I had the flu at the time, so I wasn't in the best of moods! However, in just one home open it was sold again, for more money and this time the finance has come through promptly! But it has delayed settlement and therefore the injection of funds we need, so we have been "not going far" so we don't spend too much on fuel or break anything! It looks like we will make it through though and then hope to get moving more after a family birthday in October. YAY! Despite all the hassles, we are really enjoying life in the van and wonder why we have a storage unit full of stuff that we no longer appear to need! Work-wise, My PhD proposal went down well so I am just waiting on ethics clearance and hopefully I can get started next month collecting data. So I am really hopeful that things are on the up and improvement ... at last! Then I can start on the list of "subbies around Australia to visit" that I have compiled! Maam Jay aka violet[A]

Hallway boy. Spending money on a pro when you could have visited ME. Tut tut. Did I mention that dad came home from Italy with PNEUMONIA? Yepper. He is busily sweating through several sets of sheets a night. Just the thing Mr Lung-and-half needs, acres of fluid! Will my mom get through this latest bit? Yeah, it's force of habit now. At least he is home, right?

Wow how many roll calls have I missed? You all might have noticed on the other side of the kneel for me, I'm now the pet of and living with NZ. [:D] Very happy kitten!! My court battles are finally over, I'll hear his sentencing soon. My life is happily not as chaotic as it used to be. And My TNG group in oklahoma is surviving and THRIVING without me, I am VERY proud of and happy for them. Honestly, My life has not been this good or happy in many years, Not a damn thing for me to complain about!!!!!!

I had my SSI hearing last week and was informed that I am disabled now. I am just waiting for the award letter now so I can get on medicaid real fast. I am just happy that the heat is going away here in TX. Been virtually building my next computer online. Spending more time with my brother's UMs and keeping contact with my own UM via telephone. Will be grilling steaks on Monday for my brother's b'day. Making sure Mom is moving about and fighting the pain. So far I have been content. Just a bit bored without anyone to talk to.

Summer school classes are done, I've got almost a month to relax and enjoy the hunt as well as paint out on the deck. I'm doing concept art and following up with both graphic illustration and large canvas paintings for a new graphic novel. We looking to find another artist or two to do the main story boxes and models for the tougher more .. interesting poses. Any one want to volunteer? or join the Project? There's usually a great meal involved, and after entertainment = RockBand, ~flOw~ .. just no cold hard cash at this point, blah!

I am in the final stretch of planning for the wedding, almost everything but food has been already bought Fox started school back up this week, and we get to start marriage counceling (joy) 6 more weeks!
