Not to hijack the thread though...
SSC and RACK are nothing more than marketing slogans, a way to try to make what we do seem less scarey to the vanillas.
Arguing RACK vs SSC is about as effective, and meaningful, as arguing "Floggers" vs "Canes" or Buddhism vs Christianity or "scrambled eggs & bacon" vs "green eggs & ham"... It's about taste, preference, what strikes an internal chord within _you_. Which tool, if either, would you use to try to explain what you do to your clueless, vanilla, friends?
And as for education, brother, EVERYONE needs it. From the most experienced player, to the newest OMG I just found out there are kinky people out there newbie. No one is born knowing how to do all the kinky pervy fun things we do in a way that is at least moderately safe. And yes, there are ways to minimize the risk even with very dangerous forms of play.
And yes, there are people out there that should have their hands removed so they don't harm themselves or anyone else because of their incompetence and foolishness, but because we can't remove their hands, the rest of us have to keep an eye on them, if for no other reason than to protect ourselves from the fallout of their screw ups.
Those people need an acronym of their own - STINK - Supremely Terrible Incompetent Nincompoop Kink, and we could call them "STINKers" as a way of warning those without the sense God gave a donut, from playing with the morons...
