I can not stop thinking of Jims death.  I think about him every day.  Especially late at night.   Anyhow- I seen a blurb where a guru can relay messages from those who are dead that relay the thoughts to their loved ones.

Jim was very detailed into who died on what day.  Anniversaries- he we a walking calendar.

I doubt I will ever have a friend quite like him again.

I am a complex person- but he figured me out and was good at it.  Even at that- he once said- I known you for all this time and I did not know xyz.

...With my dad who passed in the 80s.. it popped into my head what does his corpse look like right now.  So the same thought went to Jim.    But he was cremated.
So he is finished.

So the question is- what are your thoughts on these guys that can talk to the dead?

If I ever had the chance- to do so?

They are complete and utter hoaxers.

Go sit at the grave, go to were Jim's ashes were spread and babble away. There are those who say: I can call up the wee ghosties, and the reply is this; Aye, but do they come when you call them?

The spirits are contacting me someone whose name could begin with Fi is contacting me
Do you know a Fiona?
No
Oh...a Philip
No but my neighbour’s dog died recently and he was called Fido, actually I'm surprised he told you his name he usually just barks.

maybe you heard it wrong? Wasn't that long ago (only 20 years ago) I lost a dear friend named Miles.

I'm seeing a red dress and can hear the faint saying 'bring me my nostril spoon!' does any of this make sense?

Ahem yes...yes I am getting that sense of occasion; spirits often focus on striking times in their lives. Oh I had feared this could happen: the spiritual ether is being diluted with the memories of others from that single occasion.

Oh, I completely and totally believe that people talk to the dead.  It happens all the time.  I just do not think that the dead respond.

Those people, not necessarily the 2 above,    but others tend to either be hoaxers or to "ease your heart" for a few bucks. Or a lot of bucks in some cases. Me - I admit that I still talk to my grandma who helped raise me and who i miss very very much. I can't think of how many times I reach for the phone to call her and tell her something and as I pick up the phone, I realize it's no good - both she and grandpa are gone.   So I "tell" her whatever I was going to tell her quietly, and let her know I miss her and love her, though I know she's much happier now and not in pain. (She died from spinal cancer.)  Then I move on.....there's nothing else I can except honour her memory with my love.

   That's just me though.

My Dad passed away last Thanksgiving. I often look up at the stars and think of him, for that matter, I think of him day and night. I miss him terribly!
Do I talk to him? No. Would I pay someone to channel him or whatever they call it, no way!

I often wonder about those that have experienced a loved one coming back and talking to them in a dream or whatever it is.... I had kinda hoped that Dad would do that, but no worries, he's with me all the time, he's in my heart. Oh, and he's on mantle too

I experienced that w/my Uncle, Girly.  He died suddenly when he was 34 and it was such a shock & so traumatic to me I was a basket case for long afterwards. We were very close & he was the primary male role model in my daughter's life. Several months later I dreamed about him sitting at the kitchen table w/the rest of the family (it's where we all congregated during get togethers) and he had a white glow around him & just sat there wearing his favorite "at home" outfit, staring at me w/a oh so slight smile. He never spoke to me and when I woke up, I was strangely unfulfilled, begging God for another chance to see him AND speak to him, to touch him. Several weeks later I was granted that dream. I asked him several questions & he actually answered them, I got to hug him tightly and when I woke up, I felt alot better. That's been over 10 years & I've never dreamt about him again.

**Eta, I was happy that 3 months before he died, I had a great evening w/him & several other family members. We were at a nightclub drinking & dancing, just having a great night. At his wake, those of us at the club w/him were so thankful that we had that time. 2 days before he died, he was getting on my nerves but thankfully I didn't say anything out loud so I'm especially thankful for that 2nd dream**

After my late husband died i was in the hospital with a bleeding ulcer. When i got home i desperately needed to sleep, but would not sleep in our bed. My step-son had been staying in the guestroom and he and his dad wore the same cologne, so of course i had to change the bedding before i slept there. I remade the entire thing...mattress pad, sheets, blankets, new pillows and pillowcases, etc. and then managed to sleep for a few hours.

When i woke up i felt something under my hand. It was a diamond ring i had never seen before. All the bedding came right out of the linen closet and was fluffed up before it went on the bed, so there was no possible way it was on the bed when i laid down.

As soon as i saw the ring i knew what it meant. Every time he would ask me what i wanted as a gift for the holidays i would tell him "Nothing says "I love you" like a diamond."

As to whether or not I would talk to the dead if giiven the chance...no. I said everything to them that needed to be said while they were alive...no reason to tell them anything now
