Could anyone kindly advise why I seem to not succeed in embedding a YouTube clip (nothing profane - simply a short music clip) in my profile text? And since I may already have your knowledgable attention - is there any way I could launch an autoplay with it?

Thanks so much! liz

From previous experiences, the site's owners do not allow embedding of static images in the fora (they have removed either the post or the images from posts) so I rather doubt they would go for embedding videos on the "other side" in the profile text. The best you can accomplish is to simply post the link to your video clip (or audio clip, photo, etc.).

Now, having stated that, if you can somehow play a video into the site's method of recording a video greeting, you be able to get your clip at least that far. It still won't be auto-playable though (which is a good thing as many people here use computers that may not be able to handle auto-playable media; plus it's an annoying thing to happen when one isn't expecting or desiring it).

I have never tried to put a youtube link in my profile but they are allowed in your journal entries.

I appreciate the reminder - with the majority of Friends requests from strangers and irrelevant emails that I am getting here, one must remind oneself of that quite frequently!

The feedback is much appreciated - yet, I have seen profiles with YouTube content embedded, which spawned the idea in the first place.

Maybe that is what will do the trick! Thanks so much for the advice!
