Hey, Not sure where to put this so figured here would be ok.

I was wondering, if you had to give an estimate what % of people who are interested in  Lifestyle BDSM would attend public events like parties, clubs etc...

Or what % prefer perhaps a more private route?

Just for future reference and curiosity.

You're assuming everyone who is interested can attend a public function. It's a two hour drive from here to either Albanypowerexchange meetings or TES in the city. Two hours there, two hours back, barely time in there for two hours there before I would need to come home.

There used to be a couple of small munches only an hour away but I don't think either of them are still functioning.

If there was a public dungeon nearby we probably would go to see all the neat toys and such. But there isn't. Cost of living in the woods.

I read once years ago that approximatly 10% of the population is interested, but have no data to back that up. I used to be very involved when I lived on the mainland, but here in Hawaii there is not much going on except maybe on Oahu, and I havn't been over there in 8 years. (come to think about it, 8 years this weekend). Like DesFIP, I live in a very rural area. It is a two hour drive to Hilo, even more down to Puna where the past few get-togethers were, and havn't heard of anything going on down there lately.

Well as for me I attend Dungeon parties regularly..

i can't provide a number and i think a generalization wouldn't take into account the variances the scene in different locales would have. that is where i began and for me it is strange to have never had the experience. but i realize that isn't a possibility for many due to personal/career/familial/proximity limitations. there's also the fact they may not have access to a group within a reasonable driving distance if at all. which places a greater emphasis on virtual connections.
