After all, how much buckshot filled moose can one eat?
An awful lot...moose is fucking delicious!!

Yes it is.

Though I don't agree with her politically I always thought Sarah was kinda hot. I guess I'd prefer Spinners idea of second prize. Two moose dinners with a pretty woman doesn't sound like a bad consolation prize to me. After all, I've already lost my virtue (in the puritanical, sexual ways anyway) and would be perfectly happy to help her lose hers.

Uncle Nasty

PS Spinner, moose aren't hunted and/or shot with shotguns. Likely a shotgun would just piss them off, even with double ought. And you'd have to be so close to make the shot... Well, you'd be very close to a pissed off 1200 lb. animal who is now intent on eliminating you.

In my area you must use a minimum 30.06 for hunting elk. Elk are 1/3 to 1/2 the size of moose.  .308, though balisitically similar, is not considered powerful enough for elk. Muzzle velocities are less than a 30.06, the trajectory isn't as flat, and the retained energy at impact is less. I expect a moose would require, at minimum, a 180 grain bullet and a muzzle velocity of 2500-2800 fps.

Some suggestions would be a 300 Winchester Magnum, .338 and the .375 H&H, 7mm Weatherby Magnum, or 7mm Remington Magnum. There are a number of other good candidates.

Well, rml, your approach of dismissing any criticism as nothing but partisan mudslinging is dangerous in and of itself. If you won't even examine the criticism you will miss things that are being done that are wrong or need remedying. In this case it makes no difference who originated the criticism, if the claims are correct, then it was a misuse of the NEA.

And I might point out that I am the most vocal of those on here who are "waving the flag in pseudo-support of the NEA",and I have no desire to target Obama for anything, and I expend many thousands of keystrokes on here defencing him. Aswell I had nothing against the NEA funding Maplethorpe (that's the artist in question in post #4 I believe) or anybody else...that's what its there for, to fund art, not to fund art that the public (or administration in power at the time) likes.

Yes, but you seem to miss the irony in that the Republicans use the NEA as a pawn in whichever direction suits their goals at the time.

I don't care who used it how in the past. That sort of bullshit is just that bullshit. It doesn't really matter what was done in the past so much as it matters what is done now. Just because something was abused before doesn't mean it should be abused now. When the fuck are people going to wake up and just insist that things be done right "from now on" and never mind the crap that went before?

Let's hope for failure even if the country suffers for it.

Did you know you already replied to that post once before, RML?  On the same page, no less.  Decided to try and troll harder this time, I see.

Have a nice night.

~ FR ~

So far, trying to read this thread reminds me of why New York City enacted a pooper-scooper law.
