i officially stepped out of my vanilla world this weekend...... feeling that rope around my wrists for the first time as it was being tightened, left me with full body tremors of delight.... it was a feeling i will never forget! i've known this Dom for three months, so the trust was established... he took great measures over this time period at making sure i understood i was not to become bound, by Him or Anyone else, until that trust was/is established... also over this time period, He discussed, among many other lifestyle topics, safety at great length with me for this encounter and for any others i may eventually experience.... i felt safe and that i was truly ready .... and i could completely fall into submitting to His wishes ...... it was an amazing awakening experience.... wow.....ohhh wow...ouch...ohhh wow! i was completely surprised by this intense positive reaction to His binding me and having the blindfold on...... my question is this..... how many of you who experienced such an initial reaction, still get a "rush" at being bound now that you are more experienced at being bound? or is it just the reality of finally experiencing bondage, and from here out, the reaction will be "old hat"?? ((am wondering if i should rephrase that to "old rope" hehehe....)) thank you for any responses!

Oh gawd no, that rush has never left me. I really don't think it ever will. There are times when it's less intense than others, and that's determined by my own inner mindset, my connection with the dominant...factors like that. Bondage has been everything (and more) than I fantasized it would be all those years I was afraid to actually try it. There are times when the craving for cuffs and rope becomes extremely tangible and I know it won't lessen until I set up a scene with a playmate or my partner. When asked by someone for my preferences for an upcoming scene, bondage is generally the first wish... I'm so glad it was everything you hoped for...May it always be so! Cin

The first time I was ever bound by someone else was in 1982.. and I've had thousands of feet worth of rope around me since then.. and each time is different and each time is a 'rush.' Actually my first reaction in a scene was one of bliss and serenity- it wasn't a roller coaster at all, it was more like laying on a field on a warm sunny day. But I do have those reactions to some scenes, still today. While it's definitely possible to become jaded in a scene, or a relationship, what matters is that you communicate and continue to grow. You move beyond your jadedness to find the new inside yourself.

What you were feeling was a variation of subspace one can get while they are bound. I know some who go into the zone what I call it as if you were experience pain for the first time on a nice slow pace. Your mind can drift as your feel the secure bonds of the rope and it has a coming effect on the person who is secure. Congratulations stepping out from the shadows into the light of your desire to be part of this lifestyle. Is bondage great?

I am surprised that I am writing this just as much as I was surprised that I could relate to your first experience. My first real experience with bondage, whipping and nipple clamsp was last weekend. I am still in awe of the whole experience and my reaction to it. Out of the vanilla and into the space where we can experience and experiment with a new and exciting venue. Congrats to you and I would hope that the feelings that were created and experienced never grow old. Carla
