Etopic Pregnancy

Fortunately you do not complain about humans being mortal. As in anything, there is a cost / profit consideration to the length of fallopian tubes. Would you rather have no fallopian tubes?

ORIGINAL: Esinn
Birth Canal

What about the birth canal? As all organs, it is designed to be improved by the evolution algorithm if it does not function adequately. Are you complaining about the rate of evolution?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Esinn
Single pipe for eating and breathing

It's called efficiency; can't splurge on resources, y'know?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Esinn
Eye when compared to other eyes

I agree that slug's eyes in many ways are better; for example, they are more easy and more cheap to produce. Want a transplant?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Esinn
Spine

Again I agree. For bipedal creatures chickens probably have the better spine. Nevertheless I think that you ought to be grateful not to have the spine of a chicken, not so?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Esinn
Muscles in ear

You would rather hear BOOM! instead of boom!? Or is your complaint that they ought to be bigger muscles to even further reduce the loud noises?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Esinn
Crowded Teeth

Serve the purpose to give us humans an incentive to evolve beauty.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Esinn
We do not produce enough vitamin C causing scurvy

As far as I know, humans do not produce vitamin C at all - but I may be wrong. Do you have a reference?
Anyway, why make a human produce vitamin C at cost when he can get it for free in his diet? That's called efficiency also.

Well let's see here.

Ecoptic pregnancy : Better than no pregnancy at all. Shit happens. Would make a great population control method actually.

Birth canal : Got a better idea ?

Single pipe for eating and breathing : Having been known to throw up a few times in my life, I have to agree with that one.

The eye : Study a bit more. You'll find that we have a more effective fovea, now called the macula. This aids us in reading. There was a design tradeoff there though, and it may have been inevitable. At the same time we are afforded some night vision on the rest of the retina.

Spine : I never listened when they said to lift with your knees. My back got very strong. When you use a screwdriver as a hammer, don't expect perfect results.

Muscles in the ear : The ears are an integrated system including the tempomandibular joint, eustation tubes and so forth. I don't see a valid complaint about the muscles in the ear, unless you are talking about their very presence. What is the problem ?

Crowded teeth : Stop letting dentists put braces on the kid's teeth and this might not be such a problem. Lucky we get two sets. I also believe that using braces causes the necessity of removing the wisdom teeth later in life. You tamper with them,. you pay the price.

Vitamin C : It is said that long ago we could synthesize it, but lost that ability eons ago. I don't know what happened, you'll have to ask the engineer.

All in all the human body is a sound design. The problem is what peole do with it. Like a car that needs gasoline, you give it sugar water. The wheel that needs grease, you use sugar. Joints that need lubrication, you give it acid. The system needs coolant and you give it poison. You need nutrients, but prefer pain pills. You need iron but refuse to eat meat. You need air to breathe and make a big stink about cigarette smoke, and then get in your car and drive behind a deisel truck, or a car burning oil. Or go work in a factory where you breathe all kinds of chemicals and oils and shit instead of the atmospher so graciously provided for you.

So go out to your car, pour in olive oil for the crankcase, put sugar water in the gas tank and acid into the radiator, see how far you get. Not only do we not maintain this wonderful machine to the best of our ability, most of us have no idea how to even do that.

The warranty is void.

As a side note, I wish we would find an alternative name for the cunt. Birth canal sounds so clinically patronising, as if there were no other reasons for it than to procreate, and vagina sounds like an old Victorian matron.

Well? What have you come up with? Birth canal does sound bad. Who wants to have sex with any type of canal? And vagina sounds clinical. Hmmm maybe an old word.

Bearded clam 1960's, beaver 1920's, Bower of bliss 17th century, From what it says cunt is from the 15th century.

Oh please god, not the seafood metaphors and other assorted flowery references to natural delights.

Something to the point, factual, you know? Back to the drawing board for you [8D] .

More to the point: who wants to have one between one's legs? NO thank you very much.

Typical bloke, thinking of getting his end away first *sigh*.

What's wrong with good old fashioned pussy. But if you must have an alternative, may I recomend: penis pouch.

Edited to add: or perhaps pecker purse.

Make a woman come 6 or 7 times and she still feels like you cheated her.  [8D]

"Pussy" is cute, especially if you came of age during the seventies (*looking at you*), but it's not an everyday term.

I'm looking for an everyday term, that's biologically acceptable, and preferably not cheesy (ha!) in the metaphoric department.

Incidentally... in the eighties, the local supermarket, Migros, in Geneva (Switzerland), had a car deodorizer that took the shape of a dangling cardboard kitty called... Fresh Pussy. Fresh Fucking Pussy?!

Please help... I wish I had made it in copywriting [:(] .

Yeah but pussy fits so well. Just like the real thing it's furry, it purrs and squirms when you pet it, but it can get tempermental and whiny if you don't regularly feed it.

"Arbys with fur."

Ha. I love it.

Of course, you can get that without fur if you want.

Wait now, the product isn't finished but the warranty is void ? Surely it must be software or a TV set.

"Kills the mother eh? yeah thats some population control.... "

Does it actually kill the Mother that frequently ? I know a Woman who has had two, and I was told it was dangerous, but at least in her case it was not fatal. Her kids are eight years apart, and after the first one she was told that the odds were she would not be able to have anymore kids. But two were enough and they turned out great.

Perhaps I didn't realize the gravity of the situation. Reminds me of the movie The Seventh Sign - "Will you die for him ?". (Demi Moore and that wierd looking guy) The Woman of whom I speak was not going for early termination, in fact she was a virgin when she jumped the broom and has only had one Man in her entire life. Nope, no afternoon trip to the clinic for her. I'll have to remember that.
