I stumbled upon a great site that I had somehow missed before. I love some of these ads and remember the products well. I had some of those "Kiddles" too Check it out for a weird stroll down memory lane:

"Blow in her face and she'll follow you anywhere!" WTF??? The cigarette ads were the worst.

Yeah, I liked the Lysol to cure feminine hygeine one, and the husband spanking his wife.

Good find, luci!

If I remember correctly, the original Lysol was a carbolic acid based formula.

I was a bit off.

Hey....i actually spent time in one of those knit rope swings*stretches out on therapy couch*come to think of it, that might explain my first foray into the lovely world of rope bondage.
It's always your mother's fault in the end, innit?

Ha...I thought I was posting on the vintage ad thread. That will teach me to not post and drink at the same time.

That was a great site.

Not sure about the Heineken tastes tremendous bit though.

And I can't help wondering what a Spam and baked bean sandwich tastes like.

But once again thanks, here's a selection of British TV ads from the 1970's.

Thanks Stella! Those were all new to me. The "Smash" potatoes and the "Finger of Fudge" were products I had never heard of and I liked the "Pepsi" commercial. The "Shake & Vac" reminded me of some ads we've had here - some lady in a nice dress and heels dancing around ecstatic about vacuuming. Yeah, right

Good ones..............luci
