FOUR STRANGERS AT A BUS STOP??
Old man down on his luck...bends his knee to pray.
Young girl fresh from school...has no one with which to play.
Street cop with his load of hate...no one knows he's gay.
Me, I stand here all alone... there's nothing I can say.
Old man down on his luck...has holes in both his shoes.
Young girl fresh from school...has post-partum blues.
Street cop with his load of hate...can't pay his union dues.
Me, I stand here all alone...missing all my cues.
And if I spoke what would I say?
And who would want to listen anyway?
But I can't help wondering if they see
things the same way as me.

Street cop with his load of hate...his conscience has gone lame.
Me, I stand here all alone...feeling very tame.

Street cop with his load of hate...can't crack a single case.
