Hello All:

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this or not. . . .

I am pretty certain that someone has been sending me mail from here under two different names. I know it's not Illegal to do so. . .but. . .I'd like to speak with other women who might have the same experience.

Or does anyone care?

It really depends. If it is someone that you are still talking with, and you feel that he/she is deceiving you by doing two at once...it really comes down to what YOU want to do about it.

Otherwise...it really does not matter. If it is not someone that I talk to , I just delete the message and go on with my life

Your gut is squawking for a reason. There's no law saying that the same person can't write from two different emails.. and likewise, there's no law that says you can't ask him/them about it. Sometimes a picture is worth a 1000 words, so you might consider asking 'both' of them for their pic and see what happens. Until you know for sure, though, I'd give the benefit of the doubt.

Good luck,

Celeste

It's called DRAMA

You stop chatting or seeing someone and they refuse to stop IMing you. When you block them, they make a new profile. It's idiotic and only shows the persons lack of maturity. Anyhow they usually end up leaving you alone after they begin to chat with someone else. It's a phase that's bound to happen atleast once with just about every female that chats. Ofcourse some females are known to have another profile for atleast two reasons. One to see if the guy is or would cheat on them. And then two, have some sort of mind game / revenge deal.

Oh, I'm not interested in this person (persons?)! In fact, I have I told them both to go F-off. If you read my journal you can find one of the letters I received. I haven't chatted with the names via any chat program nor do I have any desire to do so.

I am wondering if there is a way to let people know about it. Girls - you can contact me and I'll give you the names. It's interesting that both profiles have been since turned off!

I guess it doesn't matter. No doubt it's some guy living in his mother's basement. . .

Thanks for the input.

B.

Sounds as if the guy as such a low level of social skills that it won't matter if he uses one account or a dozen, they will all simply get blocked by most folks he contacts anyhow so I wouldn't worry about it.

I had one mailing me from about four diffrent addresses. Takes them a lot longer to set up an account than it does for me to hit the block button. Wanna bet on who got fedup of playing that game first?

Ive used multiple profiles and accounts when I was role playing in the fantasy realms in the old msn. Each one had a different character and usually for different rooms.. However most people I regularly played with or chatted to knew who they were as I kew theirs.. However.. To do what the OP has found with this dude is just not cricket! Some one tells me fo f*** off, why should I wish to pester them or hassel them.. To do so shows a lack of maturity and I don't play with kiddywinks ever..... Sensitivesubmiss, try to ignore the SoB and keep blocking, in time he will get tired of the game.. Be well and keep safe.

I have had more than one user create 1, 2, 3 or more profiles to continue contacting me after I have blocked them. You just have to ignore them all. I have made multiple reports to support over various issues & these go unanswered.

It only takes one click to block someone. Click and keep repeating. They'll get bored with it eventually.

I've had it happen as well and block works just as easily the second time as it did the first time. One would think that with the 400+ new profiles that come through here a day, it wouldn't be too hard to find someone else they could divert their attention to.

What i find amusing is the fact they email or IM you from another ID to inform you that they know you blocked them. Pish, some people have simply way too much time on their hands.

The profiles that give me a chuckle are from those who want anything, anyway they can get it. And they have 2 profiles, one as a Dom; and one as a sub. I called one guy out on it after he'd sent me 5 cut & paste jobs from his Dom profile. He said "Well, I can switch." Well....I don't care.

There are MANY people here on CM that have more than one profile. There are some that have as many as 20+. What's interesting is that sometimes the profiles will be so completely different that if it weren't for pictures or identical information like age, weight, height and location, one might not pick up on it.

There are people here that want to have certain elements of a person's account to be made available for all to see. I wonder what they would say if a person's multiple profiles were made available as well.

Personaly I'd think that would be a good idea, it'll never happen though.

I can sort of see a reason for it with some switches (Who don't want to be overlooked by someone seeking a non-switch and are hoping for chance to explain if they find someone otherwise compatable), or by Pro's who are both looking for clients AND are looking for something more meaningful & personal. But other than that I don't see the point.

That just blows my mind. There is one here in my area that runs an ad looking for a slave, an absolute type relationship then has an ad seeking to be a slave in a similiar situation..sorry that just causes a WTF ? reaction in me.

I also know of one who under the same screen name has changed his orientation in the following order: switch-dom-sub

you are probably getting e-mails from two of his personalities... there could be more... run!

If you really like the person, ask him, see how things continue. If he thinks he is caught, he will likely ease up on one of the sides, then you can decide if you wish to continue. Sometimes multiple profiles are okay (some switches do this and disclose that they do), but finding that he was pretending to be multiple people is a sign that you should dump both of them.

I have gotten emails from one person... a male and a female person (and you thought this was impossible!). He/She made a mistake and was caught... not sure which gender club it belongs to, but I no longer care.

Go with your gut... Mine usually knows what's going on before the rest of Me catches on.
