Ah, shit. I saw this one coming a few months ago. Poor bastard. He seemed like a really decent guy; hope his last few months weren't too hard.

Decent man, tough one, good actor. I've seen Road House a zillion times, it's just a fun flick, and much of that came from him. And yes, Ghost, too.

I must be the odd duck out. I could not stand his movies.........BUT he seemed like a really decent human being. From what I've read, he certainly handled his illness with strength and grace.

well, Panda, according to a few reports, he found some relief through cannabis...thankfully, he lived in a state that compassionately and legally allows for it.

I remember when he played Orry Main in North and South.  I was 9.  He was one of my first hunk-a-hunk-a-burning-man-lurves.  *sigh*

Oh no... I cannot say that I was a big fan of his movies, but he was a decent human being, a very good actor, and all I can say is what a terrible and tragic loss, to the film industry, to American culture, and no doubt to the many who knew him.

Cancer is such a horrible disease.  I am saddened by any death it takes. I was sad to learn of his battle with it.   RIP Patrick Swayze.

Aside from his acting skills and physical beauty, I remember most an interview he had done.  The moderator had asked his opinion on some political question.  Patrick replied "I'm just and actor." paraphrasing the rest  *Why do you want my opinion.  Yours is as valid as mine is*   I had a lot of respect for him for this.  And he had a great ass ;;-))
