Well why not? She's a successful businesswoman, spent years at the head of a multi-million dollar corporation that has weathered recessions and scandals and continued to make money, and is overwhelmingly dominant in its field. Sounds as good a resume asmany other aspiring pols...Vantura got elected, so did Arnie, and their use of steroids didn't hurt them, so I doubt the steroid issue will be much of a big deal. The Benoit and Guerrero deaths, while lamentable also probably won't be much of a big deal...Guerrero died mostly as a result of his drug abuse, something the WWE tried to stop, and Benoit...well nobody really knows why he did what he did. Owen Hart, now this one might be more of an issue, but again I suspect that most of the heat will be on Vince...I suspect he will take most of the blame for all the dirt on himself...he's already known as a sleazeball, so what's a little more dirt. I'll tell you what the big deal is. The McMahons took the greatest wrestling promotion of all time, ECW and turned it into a second rate WWE light. They wouldn't give Rob Van Dam, perhaps the best wrestler of our generation a decent push to save their lives. They have single handedly taken away my entire Monday night by making RAW unwatchable. They "future endevored" both Sabu and the Sandman. In short, THEY SCREWED UP MY PRO WRESTLING FIX!

You think the republicans are mad about healthcare? You aint seen mad yet till I get going on this one!

Linda McMahon is a socialist, comunist, facist nazi who seeks to turn this country back to the days of The Gobeldy Gooker.

Oh..and as a Canadian, you should be just as enraged for the sake of The Montreal Screw Job if for nothing else!

sorry.....another geek moment. I'll try to work on that.

RVD beat John Cena, at the same time winning the WWE Championship from him and winning the newly christened ECW World Championship. Now THAT'S a hell of a push.

And RVD is NOT the greatest wrestler of our generation. He's a good high flyer, but his best days are behind him. You want the best, you look at Bryan Danielson or Kurt Angle.

According to the article she has already been appointed to the Conn. Board Of Education, and was approved by the General Assembly....Not to mention that she has already resigned her position with the WWE.

"When McMahon was appointed by Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell to the Connecticut Board of Education, she sparked criticism from some lawmakers who said it sent a wrong message to children. Her appointment was approved by the General Assembly this year."

All that shows is the fact that "Conn. Board of Education" is an oxymoron.....

The fact that ANY politician or group of politicians or "public servants" endorses ANYONE for ANYTHING is adequate reason for the common man to assume that person is the last one you want in a position with any power.

Hey.....the Obamites could make her the Wrestling Czar.....

Vince and Linda have taken a modestly sized wrestling league and turned it into a world wide organization. Like them or not, they are fantastic business folks. She might be well suited for the job. Probably better suited than many who are in the positions right now.

Indeed, at the very least that fact can't be denied. They literally revolutionized a business and forever changed it.

I still say the only way I'd support Linda McMahon is if she were running against Eric Bischoff.

The professional wrestling business is run by carnies and she's married to the biggest one of all.

Her winning could only be bad for the WWE because it would bring into the public spotlight all the unsavory matters of the business she runs.

Arrogance, you could make those same statements if she were a lawyer.

I don't know exactly what you mean. But for example, the WWE wrestlers are all contractually "Independent contractors" so the WWE doesn't have the same responsibilities as if they were normal employees.

But these "independent contractors" have no compete-clauses, work exclusively, are on the road for the company 300 days in a year, destroy their bodies, and often-times continue to work through injuries because they're afraid of losing their spots because they're interchangeable within the company machine... leading to addiction to pain pills being a common, almost inherent part of the business.

I just think her running for a seat in congress would bring all of those facts to a national spotlight which would NOT be a good thing for the company.

RVD was pushed as another member mentions.

It's his fault he was depushed.

The Mcmahon's didn't buy him the pot and pills he and Sabu were busted for.
