ACORN threatens to open Pandora's box

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/27270.html

Bring it on Bertha, bring it on!

I'm guessing Uncle Rupert won't be too too worried about his wallet.

I also hope they sue. I think that seeing the e-mails sent by ACORN to the democrats who support that crooked organization would be an interesting read. Maybe they should find out if Bill Clinton has any money left in his legal defense fund. If they sue FOX, they are going to need it.

Ditto that!  During the 2004 election the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth ("SBVT") actually sent a Registered Return Reciept Requested letter to John F. Kerry inviting him to sue them.  Kerry & Associates and several Kerry supporters eventually filed 3 separate Civil Suits against the SBVT, but withdrew each of them during pre-trial evidenciary hearings when John F. Kerry refused to allow his complete military records to be used as evidence.

Given the animosity between those who accuse ACORN and those who defend it, I think some reality-testing (in the form of getting at the truth) would likely prove good medicine for one side or the other, and possibly a little bit of both. But there remains the fact that some people don't even take their meds now.

Well here are two two takes at truth

John Stewart and the Daily Show's

ya know, once i saw what those two kids looked like.... i had to wonder... how much did the employees get paid to do that piece

MarsBonfire -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 9:59:56 AM)

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop... either the "kids" who shot the video re-edited the dialouge, or else outright paid the folks behind the desks to help them with their "gag" video that later they offered as "the real ACORN" scandal, ...or who the hell knows what.

Sanity -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 10:22:08 AM)

What I wondered was, how many offices which had turned them away would have helped them instead, had they actually looked the part they were playing

That "pimp" especially looked absolutely ridiculous...

tazzygirl -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 10:30:18 AM)

It trulyw as a joke... and to think that a man wanting to run for office would walk around with a hooker dressed as he was? umm... yeah... im gonna believe that anyday

tazzygirl -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 10:33:54 AM)

i have no proof... but i was wondering the same... how much did it take to bribe those people? would it be that far fetched for that to have happened? lol... and to discover that Fox, Beck or Limbaugh (the last two i dont think would do this... Fox... maybe) were the ones financing it all.

grins

its a slow day in my fantasy land

FatDomDaddy -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 11:58:10 AM)

And your feeling is ACORN would not have paid them more to admit to that last week>

I have a better question...

How much was the "golden parachute" ACORN paid to the "fired" workers?

tazzygirl -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 12:01:35 PM)

No clue. But, would you go against Fox? i wouldnt

FatDomDaddy -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 12:09:14 PM)

If I was in the right like ACORN claims to be, if they have proof that FOX and other conservative groups were behind it, like ACORN claims and had the Lawyers and assects ACORN has, if their book were honest like ACORN claims they are....you bet I would.

You wouldn't?

tazzygirl -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 8:42:43 PM)

Not if i was taking money to set up ACORN, which was my fantasy supposition [:D]

FatDomDaddy -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 8:47:12 PM)

So all of them... the three in Baltimore, the two in DC, the three in Brooklyn, the one in San Bernidino,(sp?) and the one in San Diego were all bribed?

tazzygirl -> RE: So...about that ACORN lawsuit (9/19/2009 8:55:40 PM)

one, i said i had no proof... two... i said it was a slow day in fantasy land... gesh... take a hint dude and lighten up!
