Oh my gary... where do I even begin??? (I had a long post all written out, hit "ok"... and then poof... the computer blipped, so I'm trying to remember all the things I wrote.) First off, let me say that Kali is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I knew that she was an amazing person from our phone calls, texts, and emails over the past year or so, but it was confirmed over the past 5 days that I have had the absolute privilege of having Kali in my home. My Dad, DB, the Things, and I already consider her a part of the family. We had 5 days to spend together, and decided to make the most of them by giving her a snapshot of life in "Fake, VA." Friday Night: We did karaoke at one of the local haunts and watched some nasty women do their best to "shock and awe" the patrons by performing their version of "Elaine Bennis having an epileptic seizure meets drunken trailer trash channeling Beyonce" dance routine. Entertainment at its best, truly. Saturday Night: We went to watch the horse races at Charles Town Races and Slots in West Virginia. After watching the ponies run at top speed, we decided to try our luck at the slots for a little while. We didn't win big or anything, but we did manage to not knock over a little old lady who was running around with a $100.00 as if she wanted us to rob her blind. Sunday: We spent the afternoon and evening in Washington, D.C., hanging out with Trapped, her Dom, and dcnovice. We had a really nice dinner in the city, followed by a trip to one of the naughty shops, where I was almost sent into orgasmic bliss by the consuming scent of leather. Next, we went to Trapped's Dom's home, and had the best time talking and "roasting" one another. (There's nothing like having a bunch of friends with a quick wit and a great sense of humor.) Monday: We spent the afternoon and evening touring my home town and parts close by, so that Kali could see some of the beautiful things that "Fake, VA" has to offer, like views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, local vineyards, the lake near my old house, historical landmarks, and some of the area's most prime real estate and the multi-million dollar homes that occupy that space. While we were out, Kali tried to convince me that trespassing on the grounds of a historic Civil War cemetery in the dark of night was a good idea. She also tried to convince me that backing up in the dark abyss of trees was brilliant, especially when I have front wheel drive. Thank gary that I was able to escape the children of the corn who were grabbing the undercarriage of my car to pull us into the bowels of hell. But I'm a good girl, full of sweetness and light, and that's why we weren't dragged to our untimely demise. Today: We went to my office, and at lunch time, Kali was picked up by a lovely gentleman (my Dad), and escorted to the airport. When I got home tonight, I was sad that she wasn't there, waiting for me. Alas... but I just heard from her and she has arrived in IL, and is currently awaiting her amazing Sir. Kali, we love you, sweetie... and consider you a member of our family. Great big hugs and squishes, Red and Company
