How many people in this lifestyle arent into torture or pain at all? Im not, am I alone? I just am interested in the power exchange...

Me. I'm not a masochist at all. Pain hurts. There is no pain/pleasure balance or mix for me, it either hurts or it doesn't. That being said, I love chains and I love mental torture. But it's hard enough for most people in the scene to get the concept of submitting to pain without ever enjoying the pain, so I rarely get into the nuances of loving mental pain.

i'm not into being hurt either, it is completely about the power exchange. i'm a bit nervous about someone not seeing that.

The worst is when they try and convince you that it's just that you haven't tried it or had it done to you right yet. (Granted, for plenty of newbies, that can be the case, but when you've given them a brief history of your 7 years/several harsh sadists life, it's just condescending) Best you can do is be honest and not play with someone who can't see beyond their own ego into your actual self.

That's basically what scares me, because I haven't done it, so i can't say for sure i wouldn't enjoy it. i don't think i would though, but i know i would go along with it if it was something they wanted.

Just take it slow and be accountable for your reactions. If you don't like something, say so. My general rule for something new is to try it three times, starting out very slow and easy. By the third time, you should have an idea as to whether this is something you want to keep exploring with, or just leave it alone.

You don't need to do it to be able to say for sure that you aren't into it. If it does not interest you then it does not interest you. Don't let other try to convince you otherwise. You may just regret it. For me it's about the TPE much more then it's about the kinky sex games and torture. The kinky sex is only a side dish to be had every so often while the TPE is the crux of the relationship. What gets me is that the majority of women I met are just about the sex games. It's nice but I won't have a relationship based solely on kinky sex. It never lasts.

It's not about luck, it's about choice. Random people don't get to grab you- you have to choose who you play with. So take it slow, and make sure you're making a good judgement.
