I just caught a news blurb on Fox, the President speaking about his latest moves in the Isreal/ Palestine Issue. He actually got Abbas and Netanyahu to meet face to face (though it was breaking news, perhaps I misunderstood). There certainly are more issues and plenty of problems to deal with still, but this is a very positive step, and deserves to be noted and congratulated.

I don't watch Fox, but I did read this article today (dated September 21st) regarding the matter.

Everybody is saying no to the American president these days. And it's not just that they're saying no, it's also the way they're saying no.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is saying no by refusing to meet with Binyamin Netanyahu until Israel freezes all settlement construction; the Israelis said no by refusing to agree to a settlement freeze, or even a settlement moratorium until and unless the Arabs ante up their normalization gestures.

The only thing Obama did manage to get Bibi and Abbas to say yes to is a photo-op at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in NY. Mazel tov.

Glad to hear if, in reality, the situation changed.

And how is this a "good" thing?
I want my president focused on problems in he U.S. 100%, not foreign countries.
I hope they don't expect a check from US. Taxpayers.

Every country on the globe expects a check from us, and they usually get one.

A photoshoot is a huge step.
