Chris Mathews is way out there, he may be a part of the reason a lot of the other big media types have begun jumping the Obama ship. The issue I have is that the media should even be able to abandon Obama. They should be doing fair and impartial stories that try to all sides and inform the public. Sadly they are not. They have been unfairly slanted towards Obama, and now with feeling he has failed them are likely to be unfairly slanted too see him as a failure/traitor. I know that many feel that Fox is either A) a horrible Republican tool or B) the only honest news, but I think they also shows the problem from another side. Most media seem too be firmly Liberal, and the simple facts of there voting patterns support that. However Fox just does the same thing from the other side.

You got to take it all with a grain of salt, but I think the best work on the media basis in a long time has was done my Orson Scott Card of Ender's Game fame, and he is very liberal. And no Fox doesn't do the same things from the other side. There is a difference between an outright agenda against anything Democratic and/or liberal and what may be perceived as subtle bias from other news sources.

You know how you feel when you watch Fox? That's how I feel when I watch the rest of the media. I don't feel that their coverage is 'subtle bias'. I feel it is 1/2 a step down from propaganda and sometimes not even that. My point is that even with Fox not liking him the media as a whole is very much behind the president when it should be keeping a eye on him.

Fox is blatantly biased. As is MSNBC. But MSNBC was started as a rebuttal to what Fox initiated. I can't see how anyone can compare the blatant bias of these two channels with the rest of the media.

I said they ARE being consistent. They are criticizing Obama because he doesn't seem to be having any success meeting their expectations. I have to rely on your monitoring. Based upon what you have been saying, FOX has been criticizing them because he IS trying. Their agenda is to not let him succeed. Both produce criticism, albeit with differing intent. It's not really that complicated.
