The ultra radical, loonie left will be out in force to riot in Pittsburg in a few short days. It seems they hate everything the G 20 does. Police officers from all around the country are being bussed in to help control the angry mob.

MichiganHeadmast -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/23/2009 6:45:05 AM)

Obviously, they are all racists.  [:D]

rulemylife -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/23/2009 9:52:03 AM)

I don't think they will be out in force unless they can find Pittsburg.

pahunkboy -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/23/2009 10:37:13 AM)

People should protest.   Tho it is likely too late.

kittinSol -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/23/2009 10:53:54 AM)

One can only hope that the losers who daintily lifted their pinkies at the ridiculous Washington 'tea party' take a leaf from the book of twue radicalism.

Arpig -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/23/2009 12:48:03 PM)

I think it would be a great laugh if nobody showed up...thousands of cops all set and ready...and poof! nothing![:D]

the tea party thing is the so called opposition.    basically the controlled opposition.      Lets not forget Seattle.

pahunkboy -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/23/2009 1:31:53 PM)

Who is in charge of the 20,000 troops there?

because it SHOULD be governor Rendell.      (PS- Pittsburgh has an H in it-  easy to remember Harrisburg does not- maybe because it is the capital- so maybe the H was dropped)

Soooo.... you prefer violent protests?  Or you just approve of protests when it is against something you are against?

Edited to fix quote.

My favorite tho IS Chapman.   Bob Chapman of the International Forecaster.  He is former CIA counter intel.

You show a clip of a group of protesters outside of the route they agreed too. Then say how dumb is was to have it here. Whats the point of your post?

Having a g20 meeting in your state is like admitting you want globalization- it also means someone is paying the tab for the extra police.  It also make Pittsburgh look bad.   Being the Pittsburgh was screwed out of steel worker jobs- that is salt on the wound.

Study mercantilism- and the East India Company.

Now the whole world will look at the entire state of Pennsylvania as a violent place.

For what the property taxes are there- they really should not have invited this group of globalists to their city.  There are ALWAYS protests at g20 meetings.  ALWAYS.

More to the point- study the provocateur past that the USA has engaged in.     The presidential conventions are a good example-  you know it is bad when Amy Goodman gets arrested.

tazzygirl -> RE: G 20 summit - Pittsburg (9/24/2009 6:04:01 PM)

What did i see today when i went through Pittsburgh?

Businesses closed for the two days. Streets baracaded off... a few people mingling around with the police. Hardly no one downtown. People here are conservative in their thinking... and im not referring to politically. It is a city that is growing and thriving despite the downturn in the economy. Monday there were already putting up boards over windows, discussing security measures and what would happen if a breach occurred. Those who are protesting are those who do not live here. We figure that the economy may actually be in ouor favor since not as many of them can afford to travel and stay this time. We expected some commotions, but, for the most part, its been sorta quiet, Most who live here have a four day weekend, many are out of town, many are doing like Master and i are tonight and ordering delivery and watching movies.

Its all good... and monday it will be life as normal.

The world knows who causes many of these riots... its not the locals.

So, PaHunk, is the G-20 never allowed to meet anywhere?

All politics is local.   So- if a region wants a like conference then it suits.

I liked when they met on a ship.  That was not part of any neighborhood.

These public meetings do not set policy.  That is done behind the scenes.  It is worked out prior to any g20 event.

....what does the typical local think?   It is a different region of PA then where I am at.  I am 4 hours away from there. Is there an economic benefit to it?

They had an event 90 minutes south of me- York- and people could not get thru to commute to their house.  That event was only a few hours....

Security has to be a nightmare.... but they know people are going to protest- so why be so bold about the event?

Rendell ....needs to go.  I am tired of him as governor.
