dominant145 -> Looking for "SLAVE" collar (9/23/2009 11:50:07 PM)

When my sub and I were looking around for collars, we saw this and we both loved it. Unfortunately, that collar is in a video game! Does anybody know of a similar metal collar that has messages like that across the front, or that does large engraving?

I've not seen anything that elaborate, but I have seen a very simple (and sadly much thinner) metal collar that fastens with an allan key at the back instead of a padlock. There might not be enough of that one to get it engraved legibly, though. You can get that done to any metal collar you find that doesn't have a d ring on the front where you want the inscription, after all.

The closest I've seen is a steel tag that attaches to the collar: http://www.wyredslave.com/slavetags.html

Try VadFarkas (here on this site) see if he can whittle you one out.

Well, there are these
But I doubt they're what you're after.  Pretty crappy material, but, you can build your own, etc.  However, it's not hard to go down to a local hobby / craft store and get the letters and such, to customize your own, better quality collars and such.

As far as being etched on a metal collar ring, honestly, any good jewelry store or engraver will do that.  It's not their job to ask, it's their job to take the money and do what they're told.  And believe me, they've seen stranger.

EDIT! :  Something maybe a bit like this?  And easily engraved with whatever you want.

Sunnyfey -> RE: Looking for "SLAVE" collar (9/24/2009 2:19:43 PM)

Here's a website that offers the collars that look like the one one saw. http://www.lockedinsteel.com/?Cat=48&CatName=Lined%20Collars

However they don't do engraving, but they already have ones that have hearts cut out on them, so I'm sure if you contacted them and asked for a custom cut out, they could work with you.

BKSir -> RE: Looking for "SLAVE" collar (9/24/2009 2:37:13 PM)

Sunny, those are gorgeous!  I just contacted them myself actually.  With my pets sensitive skin which reacts adversely to practically all metals aside from titanium, and leather doesn't breathe, and nylon is just tacky and I wouldn't put my pet in a $5 strip of fabric from wal-mart, it makes it difficult to find a good, permanent collar for him.  The silicon lining is an amazing idea, and I know he doesn't react negatively to silicon... so far... in more 'sensitive' places.  But that's pretty short term, and I'm looking for something almost permanent to be on him.  I asked them about the possibility of reactions or if they've had any feedback or experience with such a thing with those collars.

If these work out, I owe you big time, as, although I don't mind the idea of getting him a custom titanium piece, saving up the $800+ for it is a bit... yeah... painful on the best days.

VadFarkas -> RE: Looking for "SLAVE" collar (9/24/2009 7:01:10 PM)

Thanks for the plug mnottertail. I was going to suggest Lockedinsteel but Sunnyfey "beat" me to it.

The engraving on the collar rendering looks added on, so a little plague could be made separately if one was embarassed to take the whole collar to an engraver. But it being close to Halloween... one could get away with saying it was for a costume party. Fortunately, my engraver has seen it all and she never bats an eye anymore.

BKSir -> RE: Looking for "SLAVE" collar (9/25/2009 10:32:39 PM)

Holy jeebus!  I got an email back from lockedinsteel about the skin reaction issue, and they're going to send me a strip of the silicon they use to test on the pet. :)

It's a wonderful thing really, as there are so many different mixtures and variations on silicon out there, one may be fine but another may cause a reaction, etc.  And, well, let's be honest, I really don't want to drop $140 on a collar, just to find out he can't wear it (again). >.<

Completely their idea too. :)  So, I'd have to say that the customer service from them, at least thusfar, is top notch.  Always a selling point.

hi anybody wants to know me?

MsLilyDarkness -> RE: Looking for "SLAVE" collar (9/30/2009 1:12:35 PM)

I can vouch completely for VadFarkas.  My owner-wife got me one of Vad's turian-style collars (stainless steel locks with an allan wrench) over 2 years ago.  It's still shiney, no scratches, still locks tightly and looks fantastic.  I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality steel.

Miss Lily
