I have been reading a lot on the experiences of different slaves and their roles as 'animals'. It was to my delight that a little over a year ago I found a young slave's youtube experience doing kitten play, and from there it has just snowballed. I have a few questions for those who have experienced this side of D/s (which will be gone through shortly!). I'm mainly interested in puppy, kitten, bunny, and pony. I've thought about bird and for amusement purposes entertained the idea of being a little mousie (yay treadmill!). I will say I'm not into the masks or the paws, just tails and ears and potentially hooves for the feet since I have an interest in carting. 1) Where do you shop for your apparel? Links are always wonderful! I've poked around here and there, but I'm looking for decent deals as I have unfortunately little to spare for my expensive hobbies. 2) What is your experience? 3) Have you ever been to any of the conventions like iPup? Was it fun? How were the people? 4) What are other fun little animals that could be played? I'm very excited about this whole thing. It definitely started when I was young and obsessed with the musical CATS, eventually leading to an amateur photo shoot with a sister where I was depicted as a naughty kitty who climbed all over the table! Fun times, and I wish to repeat them. So...let's discuss! I want to see how far down this rabbit hole I'm willing to go. :P <3Rosemary

The only example of bunny roleplay I've seen is in one of those Marquis DVDs, to be honest. I'd have thought apart from the whole ponygirl/boy thing, this is going to be one kink that doesn't need a lot of trappings?

Greetings! I play as a large dog, and have to say it's very enjoyable! In answer to your questions: 1) The place I got my paws from doesn't make them anymore, but there are others like Top to Bottom Leathers, and Sinvention (who happen to make an interesting set of restraints that force you to stand on your toes for ponyplay. I really want to try those some day.). My collar I got from Arcata Pet. They used to have a nice selection of locking dog collars (who knows why they even have those, but they do) but there are a few left. It wouldn't be too hard to buy some supplies from Tandy Leather Factory and make your own collars (and then restraints, and then harness. Leather work can get a little addictive). You can get as involved and elaborate as you like, from going all-out and getting a dog pillow and dishes and kennel to just crawling up to your owner while wagging an imaginary tail and begging for a pet. 2) My experience has been great. The paws go on and I just do my best to think like a dog. My Lady is into fostering dogs and loves to train them, so she had a lot of fun playing and training me. We even had fun altering a dog training collar to fit me. I have to say, one press of the button will have your attention! Even if we aren't actively playing I enjoy laying by her side or on the floor next to her in hopes of being pet, or she'll pet me on the head in public and tell me "Good Boy" when I do something right. 3) I have not been to any conventions. I would like to go though. 4) I'v tried being a wolf, though I'v always found it difficult being a wild animal since they have so little interaction with people. I suppose one could role play a cow or donkey, and I'm interested in watching someone be a raccoon. Protect your trash cans and corn fields ;)

I do not think there'd be much that'd go into being a bunny aside from meekness, something I am quite fond of. I always thought of how amusing it would be to get a toy fashioned like a carrot? Other forms of play could be the 'magician and the rabbit'. I'm tickling myself pink over here! Thanks for your reply, Tinkerer! I'll look into those links. I've never tried playing with much leather, but I think if I put my mind to it I could do it. I know, for sure, I want to make my own collar designs.

How were the people? 4) What are other fun little animals that could be played? i have an admitted puppy and pony fetish. i'm willing to wear the full costume for both and have no qualms about the masks, hooves, or mitts. for puppy play we can do the whole gamut. i view it as objectifying reinforcement. i'm his kept pet and behave in the manner one would expect a pup to do. on the pony end i consider it more showcasing. much akin to what you'd find in dressage. the prancing and gait development opportunities with some carting are fine. but i don't see myself sprinting down a trail. which means i haven't been asked and hopefully it won't come to that. there are a variety of resources online as you know. but most of these things are not cheap. i believe the price point should be based upon quality and the amount of use you'll have. if you anticipate that it is something you'll engage in frequently, it seems pointless to skimp on a better product for something less durable in the long run. consider the movement and be realistic. i'd defer to something simple first until you're certain this is what you enjoy. seek out the furry websites as well. they're probably in the know about the best places to go for these things. no conventions as of yet but i do plan to go in the near future. as for other pets, i think the bird idea is nice. it reminds me of the scene from the story of o. i would think that is more statuary or would lend to a striking presentation at various functions. you could be a walking objet d'art which has its own appeal. be creative, there's a huge animal kingdom and lots of options to explore. have fun with it most of all. porcelaine

I looked at your profile but found you weren't from the U.K, otherwise I would've been able to give you a name to help find pony/puppy play clothes and events. I'm into ponyplay, there are events up and down the country, the people are really friendly, down to earth and very accomdating in My experience.

My one experience happened about ten years ago. I was ponying a Lady's two-wheeled cart on her ranch along a mountain ridge in New Hampshire. It was glorious being naked and struggling to pull her and her cart along a dirt path in the Autumn weather. Suprisingly, it gave me an exhilerating sense of freedom. Go figure, thethered with a bit in my mouth and the gentle tug of the reins, and i still felt free....talk about throwing off inhibitions. Of course, i was already in my 50s and the adventure damn near killed me :)

I tend to be quite the animal regardless of play and my former Mistress was indeed.... a furry! OMGBBQWTF!!!1 [8\|] Honestly I do not know what exactly what role I was playing but I made lots of pleasing noises and had one satisfied lady. A fox, bat, rabbit, cat, puppy..... thing. Beastial. Theron. Growling, Purring, Mewing Scratching... BAD NO!!! NONE FOR YEW!!! Disappointment and whimpering, then retribution by cuddling. Quite fun. I did not have a costume though and no not every furry fucks in a suit. I learned this the hard way. Err... the soft fuzzy cuddly way? Oh, Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, PA was a convention I attended. If I were to follow rules and answer questions properly and orderly. MADNESS!!!!!!!

My husband has a kitten. She gets very nonverbal at times, and retreats entirely to that persona. However, as we both know and are happy with, she is not striped because she is a domestic kitten....she is striped because she is a tiger kitten! My husband has her wear a tail on occasions, to express that part of her personality.

As a Domme, I love doing puppy play with a suitable sub, and even had one adorable boy eat what he thought was dogfood (but was human food with the label switched!). On our old large bush property there was plenty of chance to do outdoor exercise, piddles etc which was fun! Mainly just used toys etc, didn't get the whole ears. paws and tail thing happening though if I had a 24/7 sub who enjoyed doing this at times, would probably invest. As a sub, i once had a pair of kitty ears and enjoyed that sort of play. Master was a bit squicky about animal play but He adores our little dog so i have managed to win Him over a bit (well, quite a lot by now LOL!) by adopting her mannerisms so He can't help but laugh. If i take it too far or too long He tells me to stop ... but that time has got longer and longer over the years! i love it, it's fun! Maam Jay aka violet[A]

Stockroom.com has some items including the masks. The waggly dog tail is to die for. I bought it as a gag gift for Christmas one year not realizing how fun it would be to have for slave now.

I've been known to dabble in kitten play to an extent. I really enjoy being a pony girl trainer though. I have a girlfriend back in Oklahoma who is a VERY wonderful pony, and I very much adore riding her, or putting her through her paces, and having her jump for me. Shes a very good pony!! I've also been a puppy girl trainer in the past, the girl was a very new puppy at the time, and I brought a dog bowl for her once, and fed her "Alpo". I emptied out a can of dog food and replaced it with spam, then I made her watch me empty the "dog food" into her food dish, she turned 6 shades of green, but she ate all of it!! I was very proud of her, I set her up a "kennel" in my bedroom and she got to sleep in it with her squishy (a stuff squeaky toy bear). Those were great times. Maybe one day I'll have a puppy or a kitty of my own again.

JT's Stockroom has some items. They can be found on the web. They discontinued the waggly tail butt plug which was my fave but have added two fox tail and a bunny tail.
